Back to School - Episode #307 - Podcasting for Professors & Educators
This week was actually the first day of school for most kids and whether they were going to Pre School or College, most are excited to be back at school. They may have new backpacks, book bags, pencils, new swag, gear and merch, they're excited, but we all know that excitement is going to wear off really really quickly.
There are however, many kids with special needs that may not be able to attend a traditional classroom due to health reasons and don't have access to Zoom or even have a cool Zoom background.
If the pandemic taught us nothing, we did learn that not everyone likes to be on Zoom. Not every student wants their homes, parents, family or friends seen behind them while looking into a small webcam trying to concentrate or trying to keep family quiet while listening to their teachers uninterrupted.

Professors and educators can create a podcast which can help students who can’t attend classes due to medical reasons, health issues or difficulty being in a traditional setting and has no access to Zoom.
I'm extending an offer to our professors, educators and teachers or parents to contact me if you wish to learn more about podcasting, let me know, send an e-mail to [email protected] or head over to my blog,
DelBlogger.com, to order the Podcasting Your Purpose Resource Guide.

Benefits of Starting a Business Podcast - Part 1

As a blogger who has turned it into a profitable business, I realize that not everyone has time to read a 500-600-word blog post, let alone write one.

Many just want to watch a quick video or listen to a short show, which is probably one of the best benefits of starting a business podcast.

The best part, you don’t need to be a blogger or an established content creator to learn how to start a podcast for your business. I offer a 5-Week Course that will have your up and running quickly.

Unlike written or visual content, podcasts are great to listen to when you’re on-the-go, whether it's walking on a treadmill at the gym, or on your morning commute to work. Simply sticking your earbuds into your ears while doing yard work or a little spring cleaning ...you can listen during any of these times.

It’s now easier than ever to listen to podcasts. Bluetooth technology allows people to listen in their cars. Apple’s Podcast app is pre-installed on every device and it only takes a few clicks to subscribe to a podcast. It’ll also notify them each time a new episode is available to listen and download.

As a business owner, it’s time to leverage that and cater to your audience by starting a podcast. In this episode I am sharing 5 benefits of starting a business podcast and next week I will come back with 5 more.

Have you recently been interviewed on another podcast, perhaps contributed to a magazine or online article. Have you contributed to a book or Whitepaper? If so, you need to promote it!
In this episode of The Delaware Blogger Podcast I talked about the many ways in which you could and should promote your media coverage and your podcast as well including:

  • Posting on your social media sites
  • Posting on the social media sites of the writer or publisher/podcaster
  • Posting offline using business card, flyers and Media Kits
  • Posting on LinkedIn and Medium
  • Sharing with your team or group members
  • Following the writer on their social media platforms.

I was recently interviewed on HBCU Daily Grind and then posted it on my blog . I have also been promoting pics of the TEDx Wilmington speakers that I interviewed on all my social pages and tagging them as well for more exposure.
So if you want to promote your podcast, another great way is to share it along with any media coverage you have received!

What The "S" Are You Doing?

Delaware Blogger Podcast

play

11/12/22 • 11 min

What the S? Are You Doing?

Yeah, I said it!! “What the S are you doing? Are you sharing or self-sabotaging?

This is the question for the day, in Episode #315 and this topic came about after having a discussion with a fellow podcaster when we were discussing social media sharing and new business owners.

Most of us know that when starting a new business, what drives most is finding a problem or pain point, and to solving it...finding and filling and niche, but that doesn't guarantee that you're going to be able to solve, everyone's problem, or solve, everyone's pain point and even perhaps if so, you may not be liked by those individuals who are seeking a solution..

We all know that there are millions of mental health coaches, podcasters, bloggers, vloggers, accountants, doctors, lawyers, preachers and teachers, bookkeepers and others, but hey, there are also many types of bread on the shelves in the grocery store. Everyone is not going to choose the same one. So when you're on social media and you're sharing your content, just make sure that you're supporting others, especially your competition.
Because if not, you're being selfish and self sabotaging, that's today's episode of the Delaware blogger podcast. we're going to talk about it.

Are You a WOW Podcast Champion?

Delaware Blogger Podcast

play

11/05/22 • 8 min

I know you have heard this question before, "What is Your Why?" Well today, I am asking, “What is your WOW?”You can be a doctor, a lawyer, a preacher, a teacher, a coach, a Grio or even a self-proclaimed Guru, and you probably have something to share with others and have thought about starting a podcast. As a podcast host and coach I encourage people to enroll in my 5-Week Podcasting Your Purpose Podcasting Sessions to get started, however, I also know that hosting your own podcast show can be time consuming. When creating a podcast you have to be consistent with your content on a weekly basis; schedule guests, write show notes, publish and promote your show which can seem like a full time job.
If you are a boomer and beyond, some of us may have difficulty learning the techie stuff, like normalizing, compressing and uploading an RSS Feed to multiple podcast directories, it can be overwhelming.
However, as a
WOW Podcast Champion with EC Podcast Media , you can create a 3 to 5 minutes podcast to educate, inspire and motivate others without doing all the heavy lifting, you are just talking and sending the content to the producers at EC Podcast Media.
Take a listen to this entire podcast episode, and if you are interested in becoming a WOW Podcast Champion, give them a call or schedule online at
https://eliteconversation.com/wow-program-2

Purpose of a Podcast Newsletter

Delaware Blogger Podcast

play

11/19/22 • 13 min

Do you send out a podcast newsletter? If not, why not?

In this episode of the Delaware Blogger Podcast I share 4 reasons why you and should and the Purpose of a Podcast Newsletter.

A podcast newsletter is an email sent out regularly to promote your podcast. You can send a podcast newsletter out for every new episode or as a roundup for multiple episodes which I do on a monthly basis as a round up of the 4 episodes on Out & About with Antionette.

Your podcast newsletter should do more than just promote your show, however. It should add value to the listener’s experience. The ultimate purpose of a podcast newsletter is to grow your podcast audience.

However, a podcast newsletter can serve several purposes:

  1. Create a deeper connection with current listeners.
  2. Build an audience
  3. Attract new listeners
  4. Get in the email box of new listeners
