RECAP: Episodes 1 & 2

It's been a while. Here's a quick recap. Episode 1: Noah is about to propose to his girlfriend, Elise, when she splits the country to flee the FBI. Noah hears that Elise disappeared in a cruise ship accident, but finds out she's faked her death when she empties his savings account later that same day. Depressed and broke, Noah is persuaded by his best friend, Javier, to go back to work and to start attending a local support group. Episode 2: Back to work at the zoo, Noah is still a bit distracted. During his bird show, a barn owl gets caught in Harper's hair. Noah takes Harper backstage to see the medic and learns that Harper was trying to steal a stuffy back for her friend's little boy. Noah goes back out to end the bird show and convinces the little girl who stole the toy to trade it for a new stuffed tiger. Harper asks if she can get Noah dinner as a thank you, but Noah breaks into a nervous stutter about his ex-almost-fiance-girlfriend. Harper says it's fine and leaves.
