We discuss the pilot episode, the wild events happening in Rosewood and it's relative lack of big mysteries.

It's election season in Neptune! Who will win the student's vote? Wanda, the outsider promising to reform capitalism? Duncan, the nice popular kid? Whoever the hell Wallace voted for? We cover the campaign for student body president and Logan's truly wild human rights violations.

We get lost in the weeds in all the unanswered questions and lore surrounding the pact. We discuss and debate how the pact actually works, what familial ties each character has and the nebulous involvement of side characters like Tess. We also discuss how ancillary Hanna is and the show's failures in creating exciting romance plots.
Most importantly though, this episode means we're done with Ravenswood! Thank you to everyone who stayed with us on our mini journey, especially Emily who is thankful we get to check back into Rosewood next week.

We start the new season of Pretty Little Liars (apparently that's just the series name and the seasons have specific names???) and are enjoying the lighter sequel tone so far. We ask why there's suddenly more old timey technology around, delight in the punny name of spookyspaghetti.com, quickly tidying up season 1 loose ends, question the methods of the returning Dr. Sullivan, ask why they all decided they needed summer jobs, are torn over Noa's mysterious friend (or ex?) from juvie and delight over Kelly's religious conversion.
Episode 110 content warnings: teen pregnancy, adoption, kidnapping, grooming, drug use, murder, gore, abuse, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, rape, policing, gaslighting, mental health, manipulation
Brenton's detective club theme is "80s retrowave" by Eugene Barduja

Brenton finds himself strangely fixated on Arias getaway, the lack of dramatic stakes and the nice new boy and wonders if maybe she’s the most self destructive of the Liars. We also discuss Emily going attack mode, the shows depiction of OCD and Spencer’s trauma, Fitz’s A theories, and whether Mona tells the truth. Finally we wrap things up with a new tier list and season 4 finale predictions.

Ravenswood continues to increasingly focus on shipping Miranda and Caleb much to our chagrin. Why do that when you have Olivanda right there! We discuss how the existence of PLL makes this romance irritating, Luke being an even worse boyfriend, and creepy children hauntings. We do find some positives in the attack scarecrow, lucid dreaming and getting the boys together to do some magick.

We're back with two fantastic episode. Enjoy this extra long podcast where we discuss the series cancellation, the shows depiction of the horror of being a girl/woman, even more depictions of mothers acting horrible, scratching our heads at Mouse's family storyline, questions over Imogen's choice for her pregnancy, Noa's home situation, Faran scoring huge wins, the positive ways the liar's express their feelings, and the big new universe connections to Rosewood and Riverdale. Also who wants some tangents about high school?
