Grey Gardens (East Hampton, NY)

Hadley and Alyssa uncover the fascinating history of Grey Gardens, the grand East Hampton estate of Big Edie and Little Edie Beale—eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lee Radziwill—that was made famous in a 1975 documentary by Albert and David Maysles. After spotlighting the iconic women and their home, the co-hosts unpack its gradual downfall: Over time, the property fell into disrepair and was overrun by cats and raccoons (and perhaps something else not of this realm?). Little Edie held onto the property until two years after her mother died in 1977. Big Edie’s spirit is said to watch over the house. Among the believers is author and Washington Post journalist Sally Quinn, who purchased the home from Little Edie in 1979 and swears it’s haunted.

Boise Murder House (ID) Feat. Actor Justin Long

Alyssa and Hadley discuss the Boise Murder House—also known as the “Chop-Chop House”—where 21-year-old Preston Murr was fatally shot in the basement on June 30th, 1987. The co-hosts review the horrifying details of the crime, from the trail of blood left by the victim as he ran through the dark and quiet neighborhood in search of help, to the discovery of his body days later and the convictions of his murderers. After discussing alleged accounts of paranormal activity shared by former tenants and Boise locals, actor Justin Long joins the co-hosts to dish about his new horror movie Barbarian, which centers on a short-term rental home that’s hiding a sinister secret in its basement. Long shares behind-the-scenes details—including the deleted scene that was too terrifying for the final cut—plus, a Key West ghost tour encounter he’s still thinking about 20 years later.
