I started learning about the people that shaped our conceptions of human rights, liberty, and prosperity and reading about their lives and ideas are like seeing flashes of light. They are aha! Moments bringing into focus what it means to live free.
As I've continued to dig into these things, I found a rich history of philosophy, economics, and even theology ... dating all the way back to the ancients, making its way back through the middle ages and the Renaissance. It was at the heart of the Protestant Reformation, and the foundation for the American experiment. Today it hangs in the balance, not merely as an American relic, but as the spark of a potential global phenomenon.
Flashes of liberty is bringing these stories and ideas back to the forefront; it's breathing new life into them.
