Once again, New Amsterdam is hit hard with some revenue woes and, once again, it's up to Max to save it. If only the hospital could convince him to do his last favorite thing - ask for money.
Polly wants the audience to know that she keeps up with pop culture references, and Emily convinces Polly that podcasting is basically just shadow puppetry.

Max is ecstatic after getting a shocking order from the boss: "go break some rules." Meanwhile, Iggy Frome decides to break some societal rules on his own by becoming a marriage counselor to a two half-siblings.
Emily loves listing steampunk things, and Polly continues to not be fact-checked.

Max is ordered to make some budget cuts or else everyone will be skipping a paycheck! His first idea? He sends Reynolds to Mexico City for the afternoon.
Emily calls in from a phone booth to record this, and Polly once again needs to speak for the entire Jewish community in response to a New Amsterdam episode.

Max and Sharpe try to right a terrible wrong when they discover malpractice was covered up at New Amsterdam. Meanwhile, Frome gifts his patients with the greatest therapy of all - live theater in the middle of the hospital lobby.
Emily has a bone to pick with The Good Doctor, and Polly gets her dad on the phone.

A van carrying a church group gets into a terrible crash, and all of the passengers are brought to New Amsterdam. But Max gets suspicious when each passenger has an untreated chronic condition, and the driver just so happens to have all their insurance information on them.
Emily loses favor with our audience in Spain, and Polly defends the ever-problematic vikings.
