In this first episode of Curious Explorers, veteran paranormalist and historian Kathy Kelly and psychologist Traci Stein discuss and debate, is the house next door to the infamous site of the “Manson Family” murders haunted by the victims? Or is something else going on there?

Does trauma make it more likely that spirits will haunt a site?

Can ghosts haunt two or more sites at the same time?

Does a person’s psychology survive death?

Are spirits bound by any particular rules or laws about where they can go?

Background:

On August 9, 1969, Charles Manson’s followers brutally murdered actress Sharon Tate and four others (Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, and Steve Parent) in a house on Cielo Drive in Los Angeles.
That house was subsequently torn down, but another house was later built on the lot next door. This house has reportedly been the site of numerous incidents of ghostly phenomena, including unnerving EVPs (electronic voice phenomena),
objects moving on their own, light anomalies, unexplained temperature swings, and more.

The house in question has also been investigated by a number of paranormal groups, including those featured on TV shows like “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Adventures.”

What do Thomas Edison, Joan of Arc, Mike Pence, spiritualists, and Traci's dogs have common? They've all reportedly experienced clairaudience, or psychic hearing. (Chances are you have, too!) In this, our 10th episode, Traci and Kathy discuss both historic and personal experiences of auditory psychic phenomena - some of which have been LOUD. They also discuss recent research into hearing "spiritually significant voices," spooky stuff at Traci's house, how Kathy knows when she's not just hearing things, what makes skeptics "religious," and much more.

Can our intentions affect matter? Why do words seem to reshape water crystals? Can energy healers make mice live longer or kill cancer cells? And if our thoughts and intentions are powerful, could this be dangerous? In this episode of Curious Explorers, Traci and Kathy dive into some of the science on energy healing in the lab and ponder what that means outside of it.

Curious Explorers - Can We Foretell the Future? The Precognition Episode
play

05/19/24 • 52 min

Send us a text

What do Abraham Lincoln, Sharon Tate, Edgar Allan Poe, the Marvel Universe, and the Big Bang Theory have in common? They all beg the question – can we foretell the future? And if so, can we change it?

In this episode, we focus on precognition – it’s the one phenomenon that truly freaks Kathy out! And we discuss everything from precognitive dreams to “quantum jumping,” parallel lives, and more.

We explore:

What does it mean for “free will” if we know something is going to happen before it does?

And if a precognitive dream or psychic “flash” leads us to make a different choice (which changes the outcome), is the initial precognition “wrong?”

Should we be scared of psychic information about the future?

Or, can we – as Burt Goldman said – use “Quantum Jumping” to choose the most desirable future?

What do you think? Let us know!

And stay tuned for next week’s episode, where we explore, “Precognition vs. Retrocausation.”
