Emma and Xavier are 11 year old twins who wanted to create a podcast for kids, by kids. They thought podcasting would give them the chance to explore their interests in a different way. On Curious Conversations Emma and Xavier are excited to have conversations with adults and kids from all walks of life to learn about their passions and what inspires them. What qualifies them to host a podcast? Well first, Emma and Xavier love to ask questions! They also have over a decade of experience being kids and having a point of view on many topics. Emma and Xavier hope you will join them on their journey. They know it will be interesting because hearing people’s stories and passions is never boring, and they know it will be fun because they are going to work hard to make it that way.

Jane gives us insight into what it takes to be an elite athlete. How much hard work does it take to become an Olympian? What are athletes feeling just before they walk onto the pool deck for a race? What does it feel like to stand on the podium for Canada?

How many pieces of LEGO and how many minifigures are in Toronto’s Miniland?
What is Graeme’s most memorable LEGO build? Hint, it involves a dinosaur.
Can you mix DUPLO and regular LEGO pieces?
How many unique combinations are there when you only have 6 bricks?
We also talk about how failing when LEGO building is not a bad thing, even when your huge spaceship falls down in the middle of a convention hall!
Since all three of us have had the chance to visit the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark, it was fun to exchange stories about each of our experiences. It’s a conversation you won’t want to miss.

Bricktastic with Graeme Dymond: Part 1
Curious Conversations: A Podcast for Kids by Kids
07/27/21 • 30 min
If you love LEGO as much as we do you won’t want to miss this conversation and the next one. We had so much fun talking LEGO with Graeme Dymond that we had to make our conversation into two episodes.
In Bricktastic: Part 1 we talk to Graeme about what it takes to be a LEGO Master Builder. We learn that there are many different Master Builder titles and so many ways to become one. But no matter which title or job you have it is really just another way of saying you get to wake up everyday and play with LEGO bricks for a living.
Graeme’s journey started as a toddler playing with LEGO at home and he never stopped playing with LEGO bricks. This led him to a Brick Factor competition at the LEGO Discovery Centre in Toronto which he won and then he went on to become a LEGO Master Builder and a LEGO Certified Professional. We also discover what Graeme’s first LEGO set was and what his all time favourite LEGO set is.
We even talk about the LEGO Masters Builder show that is on TV right now!
Did you know that mini figure legs can be used in many different ways that are not just legs? We didn’t, but Graeme shows us this amazing new way to use legs when building LEGO.
We talk about so many different LEGO sets. If you are wondering what they look like or are interested in building them here is all the set information you will need!
