Cult Of Odd - Cult Of Odd: Episode 112 -Birds Aren't Real!
play

01/04/24 • 120 min

Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully, you are all coming into 2024 in good health and with a bright outlook on the coming year. We wish you all the best going forward and hope to have you around for what we think will be an interesting year of topics and interaction with our community. We truly appreciate all of the love we've been receiving lately.

we all know the Internet is a wild damn place! It can be your best friend, worst enemy or both at the same time. It can make you laugh, cry, make you feel connected or make you feel insecure. This episode is on a level that I hope makes you laugh or at least crack a smile. This is about how one man made us laugh at the absurdity that can be found in the conspiracy theory world and how we need to take a step back and have a good chuckle at life sometimes.

And here we go!

Yep, that's right, people! Birds aren't real! The fuck is wrong with you? Huh? You actually think all of these avian objects constantly passing over us daily are actual living creatures? Get out of here with that! Everyone knows that birds are government drones used to spy on the public. It's all a surveillance operation. All birds in the U.S. were exterminated between 1959 and 1971. They have since been replaced by drones to keep tabs on United States citizens. Why do you think you always see birds on power lines? That's how they recharge! Why are they always shitting on your car? That's not shit! It's a tracking device! And if you really want to get into the nitty gritty of it, does anyone want to guess why John F. Kennedy was assassinated?

Cult Of Odd - Episode 63: Lessons Yet Learned - Rodney King
play

02/12/22 • 85 min

In this episode we take a departure from the normal comedy and interviews, we're doing in order to tackle a topic that carries weight to this day.
We present both fact and opinion here, but we make sure to draw clear lines between fact and opinion.
We're starting a new series of episodes called Lessons Yet Learned, where we'll be covering things the society seems to be blatantly ignoring. Despite years of having it staring us in the face. Odd Man debated on this being the first one for a while. He reached out to several close friends, about covering the topic and how to present it without seeming like we are cashing in on suffering.#RacismStillExists and #policebrutalities continue. We track back to an event that sends a beacon of light up to not be ignored. The horrific beating of #RodneyKing and what followed in the years to come.

Cult Of Odd - Episode 106: Welcome To The Ranch Part 1
play

10/05/23 • 124 min

Name dropping the Sherman Ranch might not mean anything to the average person, those of us in the paranormal/creepy shit arenas know it all too well...although by a much different and spine shivering name. It is commonly known as Skinwalker Ranch. This episode marks the beginning of our 2 part series on the legend, lore and reality of that ranch. We introduce the concepts, folklore and players involved with the report of unusual activity.
SW Ranch is a hotbed of activity for cryptids, UFOs, otherworldly creatures and indigenous folklore that's steeped in shamanism and witchcraft. So settle in and turn the lights down. Make sure you check the closets and under the bed. These creatures we're about to talk about are not to be taken lightly. There are those that believe simply saying their name aloud welcomes evil and bad omens upon you.

Cult Of Odd - Episode 114: Ai, What Is It Good For?
play

05/01/24 • 127 min

Absolutely something...So the point of this episode was to discuss the ethicality of the use of Ai in creator art and commercial products. Does Ai take from the mouths of smaller artists enough that it should be being as demonized as it is. OR Is it simply yet another, in the long list of tools that lowers the bar for entry into creation of literature, music, artwork and more?
If it is just a tool, what is the acceptable amount of assistance that Ai can provide within the finished product?
If it is a problematic element, where does that leave other acceptable industry tools and resources that are already widely used?
Odd is joined by his friend Woodgood and they share their thoughts and opinions as well as some of the music they've created over the past week.

Nobody knows exactly what happened to Elisa Lam, all that is known is pieced together from security footage and the findings of her autopsy. Somewhere between the M.E. report and the little to tidy of an explanation given by police and hotel staff...lays the truth of what happened to this poor woman. Elisa Lam was found dead inside the roof-top water tank of the infamous Cecil Hotel. The last known sighting of her comes via video surveillance foots from the hotel's elevator.
Did Elisa Lam have a psychotic episode due to going off her meds, did the ghosts of previous residents play a role in her unfortunate death or was the something more sinister albeit human in play that night at The Cecil Hotel?
Join us as we take a look at the case and speculate along the way.

Cult Of Odd - Episode 74: TV Tuning
play

05/21/22 • 92 min

Gonna go ahead an apologize up front. this show is kind of a mess. The long and the short of it is, I tried to get more organized and screwed everything up. Files got moved and knobs got tweaked during both a virtual desktop cleanup and an IRL desktop cleanup.
Ace, Cory and I talk about #MoonKnight #SheHulk plus a bunch of other #TVShows we're either watching or excited for.

We'll also be discussing the recent "law of the land" from #SCOTUS concerning money and #FreeSpeech.

Odd Man also wants to dive into managing fan expectations in #TV #Movies and #VideoGames

We've got music from recent additions to our playlist. The Scarlet Goodbye, Breaking In A Sequence and DramaScream. Along with tons of other great music.

We also want to again thank

June marks the celebration of two important moments in US history concerning rights and freedoms.

#Pride and #Juneteenth, Odd Man had been talking with a good friend of his and long time friend of the show. They want to bring their private conversations to the public view.

In this episode Odd welcomes back his friend friend X to the #CultOfOdd to discuss how these two things are connected and what they truly mean.

That's right folks. It's another history lesson episode.

X and Odd have a lot of good conversations and this episode was born from one of them. They talk about the histories of both celebrations. The animosity that sides some time have and why. How to possibly be better about truly supporting communities and more.
