What Does The Bible Say About The Right To Life and Conception
The Bible doesn't specifically use the term "conception," but it does contain references to pregnancy, childbirth, and the creation of human life. The Bible teaches that human life is sacred and that it begins at the moment of conception.
One of the most well-known biblical references to pregnancy is found in Psalm 139:13-16, which says:
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
This passage describes God as the creator of human life, who forms individuals in the womb and has a plan for their lives even before they are born.
Overall, the Bible affirms the sanctity of human life from conception and emphasizes the value and worth of every individual as a unique creation of God.
