America UnCanceled: Dr. Marina Hofman Joins to Talk Importance of Faith in America
CPAC Now: America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp
07/15/23 • 17 min
Dr. Marina Hofman, President of Partners for Family Values and author of Women in the Bible: Small Group Bible Study, and Mercedes Schlapp talk about the place of faith and faith-filled people in America today.
As young people increasingly suffer from depression, anxiety, and feelings of isolation and as the opposition to people of faith grows, the influence of faith becomes all that more important. Hofman understood this firsthand. After a traumatic experience and after experiencing feelings of depression and isolation during the pandemic, she started a small discussion group for Christian women, and when the monkeypox scare threatened to shut down here group, she became more determined than ever to maintain the community she had created of fellow Christians.
On the heightened importance of faith right now, Hofman says, “These are dark times. These are hard times. I don’t what hope there could be if its not our hope in the Lord that the Lord enables us to make a difference and goes before us.”
Hofman’s book is meant to present the stories of brave women in the Bible, such as that of the midwives in Egypt as told in Exodus, as inspiration for women today to holdfast to their faith in the midst of trials and tribulations.
“We know that what we believe is the right decision, and these forces around us are telling us to go against our values. So, observing how they stand up for what’s right and how God opens amazing doors and blesses them is an encouragement to women of faith today,” Hofman explains.
She encourages Christian women today to find the women in the Bible a source of inspiration to be a positive force in their families and workplaces.

America UnCanceled: Julie Kelly Joins to Discuss the Continued Persecution of President Trump
CPAC Now: America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp
08/23/23 • 21 min
Investigative journalist and Substack author Julie Kelly brings her perspective on the indictments of President Donald Trump and the January 6th trials to this episode of America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp.
More innocent individuals are being dragged into nightmarish and unfair court cases as the indictments against President Trump pile up and the January 6th trials continue with a new crop of cases. The FBI is showing their hand with their deliberate and weekly round ups of people guilty of minimal charges or no crime at all. The courts pick up where the FBI leaves off by applying excessive sentences for low-level misdemeanors, rejecting defendants’ requests for a jury of peers, and by trying crimes not belonging to that level of court.
Kelly believes the American public is waking up the reality of the events of January 6th and the double standard of subsequent witch hunts.
“People are starting to question, ‘Wait, maybe what I saw on my TV that afternoon wasn’t really what happened.’ And thankfully, people are being more open-minded not just about what actually happened, questioning the role of government agencies. You know, where’s the pipe bomber? Or Why was the intelligence not shared? Why was say, for example, Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund, his request for National Guard days beforehand even that afternoon, thwarted by Nancy Pelosi’s Capitol Police Board? So, people are starting to be more open-minded,”
Because of the public awareness of these trials and very serious implications of the FBI’s prosecution rampage, Kelly sees this becoming a major issue and should be at the forefront of the 2024 election.

America UnCanceled: Aaron Spradlin Joins to Preview CPAC's Summit to Combat Human Trafficking
CPAC Now: America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp
08/03/23 • 10 min
CEO and founder of Mission America Aaron Spradlin discusses human trafficking ahead of CPAC’s International Summit to Combat Human Trafficking with Mercedes Schlapp on this episode of America Uncanceled.
Spradlin was invited to speak at CPAC’s Summit to Combat Human Trafficking, hosted by CPAC’s new Center for Combating Human Trafficking, for his organization, Mission America’s, work to end trafficking. Spradlin is motivated to rescue the millions of children harmed, traumatized, and abused by this form of modern-day slavery, and often subjected to inhumane treatment right here in the United States, which the world’s largest consumer of human trafficking.
“We have to choke this off,” Spradlin states. “The biggest goal is the grassroots part of what we’re doing to open the eyes of the American people, let them know that this is a national problem, not just an international problem, and then, I want to see you rise up against it. One thing about this, the bad people on both sides of this is a minority number. There are a lot of massively powerful Christian, faith-based, God-loving, kingdom people that could crush this.”
Spradlin urges grassroots action by spreading awareness and parents teaching their children social media safety. He also urges border security measures including increased staff and border security agents and DNA testing for groups claiming family status to stop the movement of trafficking in and out of the country. CPAC’s Center for Combating Human Trafficking is joining Mission America in supporting these efforts to end modern-day slavery. The CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking is not only working to end trafficking but is also working to establish safe houses in the United States to care for the victims of this egregious system.
