S03E14 - The Akiton Shuffle (Blood & Sand)

On the last episode, the crew were enjoying a profitable evening at the bar when Ryder dashed away in a panic. Radar and Vee discover that Ryder is being blackmailed. Ryder later confirms this in an encrypted message to Radar, revealing that she used to belong to an Arlian streetgang called the Obscura Cabal. She and her mother lost contact with the gang when Ryder went to operative accademy, but the gang have rediscovered Ryder and are demanding her services once again; threatening her family if she doesn't comply! Ryder has a plan to escape the clutches of the Cabal once and for all, but she can't be in two places at once and pleads for the crew's help, asking them to protect her mother while Ryder takes care of business. Vee and Radar start hatching plans (that mostly consist of plots, non-sequiturs and terrorism) for how they should proceed...

S03E15 - Absent in Arl (Blood & Sand)
Last time, Ryder made contact with the crew and revealed her plight. Radar and Vee eventually settle on a plan to protect Ryder's mother, Tabitha, and blame their presence (and Ryder's absence) on the Azlanti. But they'll need to be visible in order to action their plan - Bodyguard style! The crew headed to Akiton and were confronted with a world very different from how it looked in the brochure. As part of a city-wide demilitarization process, Arl's government is enforcing strict gun control laws and our heavily-armed mercenaries were immediately clocked by orbital border control. Radar and Vee quickly engineered dummy duplicates of the offending weaponry, shortly before Radar jumped into the runabout with the real guns and detached from the Laika-7 in high atmosphere. With Radar flying out into the deep desert, Vee lands in the capital city ... alone.
