In a super-fun interview for Instinct Magazine, I spoke with Darius Jeremy Pierce (DJ), AKA Shangela, one of the most successful contestants ever on RuPaul's Drag Race. Shangela went from underdog — to Drag Race fan favorite, then onto co-star with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in 2018's Oscar-nominated, A Star is born. We chatted about her newest project, the HBOMax reality series, 'We're Here.' Now in season 2, the show features Drag Race alum Eureka, Bob the Drag queen, and Shangela traveling across America, changing lives – one drag queen at a time.
