Comic Books & Cold Ones is the codename for America’s dumb, highly inebriated, special podcast force. It’s purpose: Drink beers, talk $hit, relive 80s nostalgia. Yo, Beers!. Listen in as KMac and Yek along with their buddies JZ and Gempster conduct another Fantasty, Fantasy Draft. This time the classic 80s G.I. Joe cartoon. Drink along as we debate if Dr. Mindbender’s abs trump Lady Jaye’s pixie haircut, how nobody in the government paid attention to how accurate to reality Cobra’s schemes were, & why KMac was just the worst kid owning the USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier toy. As Cobra Commander always aid: “Listen or Perish, you Insolent Fools!”
Draft Eligible: Any character, vehicle, or base that appeared on the Sunbow-Marvel G.I. Joe cartoon (1983-87) & G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987)
Rules:
- Each person chooses a force: 2 Joe & 2 Cobra; Flip to choose force.
- Slithery Cobra: Joe, Cobra, Joe, Cobra; reverse each round.
- Flip to choose a 5 day plot:
- M.A.S.S. Device
- Revenge of Cobra: Weather Dominator
- Pyramid of Darkness
- Arise, Serpentor, Arise
The Curve Balls:
- Brig’em: Put someone’s pick into the Brig; any force can then draft.
- The Alley Dupe: Steal another force’s pick.
- Hijacked: Steal another force’s vehicle or base.
- Half the Battle: Put someone on the spot by making them name a real or believable “Knowing is Half the Battle” PSA or they drop to last in that round.
- Order of Battle: Challenge if someone’s pick is inbounds.
Roster Spots:
- Leader: The team’s main main.
- Lacky #1: The one taking the lumps.
- Dynamic Duo: Got have a couple with chemistry.
- Beauty: Got make this look good.
- Specialist: A particular set of skills.
- Rowdy, Rowdy, Bowdy, Bowdy: Someone getting dirty, dirty.
- A Vehicle: How your rollin’.
- Base: Got have a fly crib.
