In 1973, Jim Krag spent time with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, learning to teach Transcendental Meditation, then returned to university training in 1980 and became a medical doctor in 1986. He completed his psychiatry training in 1990 at University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, where he still lives. He has extensively studied the concepts of reincarnation, near death studies, children who remember past lives, and hypnotic regression to previous lives. Since retirement he has studied research on positive psychology with a colleague and they have a book called, Positive Psychology Interventions for Anxiety and Depression.
