Hey everyone, in this episode we're going to talk about stress, hyper-vigilance, being an asshole, and much more. I want to give a huge thank you to Dave Motzkin for allowing me to use this material, as he did 90% of the work on this topic. His passion gave me passion. Also, if you love this topic, go read "Emotional Survival in Law Enforcement". It was amazing, and truly helps you to grasp these topics, and how to combat them.

Today we'll be talking about managing the intubated COVID patient on a ventilator. I know many, if not most, of our listeners are prehospital providers and they may not be super familiar with vent management. If you're interested in learning about it, go to my youtube page (kisercpr) and you can find Intro to Ventilation Parts I-IV. Then you'll have to come back and listen to this! If you are familiar with vents, I hope these little suggestions are helpful in your practice.

Note: This case is completely fictional and is not based on any real patient!!

The following case is about a fictional patient that developed a PE and eventually had a cardiac arrest in the hospital. The question posed to the audience is this: if the field personnel had PE on their differential, would the patient have survived? This case goes into utilizing the EKG as a means to identify PE's in the field. Let me know what you think! Hey guys! In this episode, we answer that annoying question from back in medic school... Why the hell do I give two craps about the Oxyhemoglobin Curve and what does it have to do with my patient care. Well, it turns out that it's super important. Hopefully this podcast will answer the questions that you had regarding the curve. I really want to start getting feedback on these episodes and see if it's the kind of content that you're looking for. If you love it or hate it, let us know!! kisercpr@gmail.com

In this episode we are reviewing a case of a nightmarish high risk OB call. We've all had these calls, where we think it's going to be totally simple... and then we walk into the room. But what happens when it's also an OB patient? How comfortable are you will the resuscitation of the pregnant woman. We did quite a bit of research to assure that we were giving you the best possible information on this one, so I hope you enjoy.
