Today we have Hannah Brencher. Hannah is a writer and a speaker. She has been on the TED talk stage, written two books, and has been featured on Oprah, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today, and dozens of other publications. I am SO excited to share today's episode with you all today, and it's the type of conversations that inspired me to start a podcast. Whenever I had a great coffee date, there were multiple times I wish I could record it, bottle it up, and share it with friends, and I'm so glad this one is recorded. In today's episode, Hannah talks about her newest book, Come Matter Here, and gives us a behind-the-scenes look at her writing process, she also talks about anxiety, depression, social media, and digging into scripture. The meat of the conversation today is about the importance of building your character and a firm foundation, not a following, not a platform, not a brand. Hannah gets really honest and vulnerable with us, and I appreciate her wisdom in that success and fame in this world will not satisfy. In this episode, we talk to Anna Collins, founder and owner of White Flag. I can't wait for you to hear the conversation with Anna because her story is so powerful. When she shares the story behind White Flag, I got the chills and maybe even a little teary eyed. It's a good one. She also even shares her own personal story of surrender - carrying shame, being a single mother, and even her marriage - which is not something we often talk openly about in the church. I'm amazed by Anna's vulnerability and desire glorify God in every season and bless others. To me Anna is someone who lives out the call to love your neighbor, and I hope that as you hear this conversation, you remember that God is bigger than all circumstances.* GIVEAWAY *To help remind us all of God's victory, we are doing a White Flag giveaway and someone can win their very own White Flag!
