Your Brain on Feedback (and how to do it better)
Coaching, Neuroscience and Consciousness02/04/14 • 53 min
"Hey, can you step in my office for a minute? I want to give you some feedback." Words we all welcome, right? Um, not so much, usually. In fact, they send most of us into a mild (or worse) state of flight or flight, making it hard to listen and take in anything helpful. And yet, knowing our impact in the world is one of the ways we grow past our own blind spots and les effective habits. So how do we get better at giving and recieving feedback when the brain is programmed to, in the words of Monty Python "run away! run away!"? Join us for a lively discussion about neuroscience, consciousness and feedback. We'll share what we are discovering from a brain and consciousness perspective -- and we may have as many questions about this tricky area as we have answers!
