The Five Virtues & The Five Organs Part 2: Integrity & The Liver - Episode 5

11/20/19 • 24 min

Classical Chinese Medicine

In part 2 of this series Dr Bisong discusses the relationship between the Liver and the virtue of Integrity.
Talking points include:
- Integrity can be viewed as the actions which you take in order to support the greater good or bigger system.
- The Dao naturally provides everything humans need and if we follow this design in our bodies our virtue and health can increase.
- Why when you do not act against injustice you become depressed as your soul is not being nourished by the virtue of ‘Yi’ and becomes numb.
- Integrity is not instilled in humans to provide balance in the environment, integrity is part of the design of the Dao for many different souls to upgrade.
- The liver is connected with activating the pineal gland and staying in dark environments at night provides an important function for liver health.
- ‘...Going dark, dark into the night brings out the miracle of the light...’
Hope you enjoy listening.
With Love,
CCMS.

The Five Virtues & The Five Organs Part 1: Altruism & The Heart - Episode 5

The Five Virtues & The Five Organs:
This will be a 5 part series discussing the relationship between the five virtues and the five organs largely taken from the De Dao Jing.
The De Dao Jing was the original version of the famous book Dao De Jing written over 2,500 years ago. This text is rarely known to the Western world as it was only discovered by archaeologists in China in 1973 and has yet to be translated into English.
The text in part deeply describes five virtues, (which once you connect with) can realign yourself with the principles of nature, and allow yourself to live a much more harmonious existence with yourself and others.
The first part of this episode will be an introduction to what virtues or ‘De’ really are, and will focus on the relationship between the Heart and the virtue of Altruism.
Talking points include:
- De can be perceived as a waterfall which fills up and nourishes your body just as qi does.
- That we are innately born with De, but how quickly it can be removed from us when living in society.
- The heart has no language and is a totality or oneness just like the De and the Dao, and judgement does not come from the heart at all.
- The heart is the ‘most important’ organ or chakra in the body as it is the governor which makes everything function and flow in proper order.
Hope you enjoy listening to the first part of this episode.
With gratitude and best wishes,
CCMS.

The Five Virtues & The Five Organs Part 3: Respect & The Lungs - Episode 5

In part 3 of this series Dr Bisong discusses the relationship between the Lungs and the virtue of Respect.
Talking Points include:
- Respect has to do with opening up to nature and respecting the external environment.
- In the social structure it involves respecting elders, teachers, sages and the creator or Dao itself.
- A contributing factor of the rise of pandemics is because people are lacking the virtue of respect. When people lack respect their lung qi can become weak and this makes them unable to defend themselves against external pathogens.
- The nature of the Dao is one of service. Therefore if you are the leader in any field you have to lower yourself in order to truly respect and serve people. This Is the way of the Dao.
Hope you enjoy listening.
Respectfully,
CCMS.
