- The benefits of not watching too many movies or playing too many games at night time.

Sun Simiao: The Immortal Sun Part 1 - Episode 22

Welcome to the first part of a multiple part episode focusing on the famous Chinese Medicine doctor Sun Simiao.
NB: This episode is suitable for patients, practitioners and anyone who is interested in learning..
In this podcast Dr. Bisong explores the standards of virtue that Sun Simiao set for Chinese Medicine Practitioners over 1500 years ago.
Talking points include:
- As a doctor you have the trust of the patients and as such are taking their life into your hands. To be of standard you must have no desire, no thoughts of yourself and absolute focus on helping the patient.
- Humans are not above animals and as such living creatures must be used as a last resort for medicine.
- A doctor of Chinese Medicine doesn't treat just the patient, their role is to balance out the energies of Yin and Yang for the benefit of Society, Earth and the Cosmos.
- And lastly, there is a distinct difference between running a business and being a Classical Chinese Medicine Doctor.
Happy listening and see you soon for part 2.
We have also attached a brief translation of some of Sun Simiao's code of ethics or principles on our Facebook Page below for your reference:
