Discover how curiosity leads to success on the Citizen of the World Podcast. Carve out more time to be curious and to pursue your interests because that spark within you, is the universe talking to you. When we're curious about something, it's a call to action to see where this curiosity will take us. Being curious physically stimulates your brain so that alone is exciting. Just as we work out our bodies, we build our muscles, we move our joints, we get the blood rushing - we should also be thinking about how to stimulate our brains. Yes, it is scary to start a business, book a vacation to an unknown location, or follow your dreams. It’s scary to go outside your comfort zone but by trusting the universe and having faith, that’s where you can start to see all the colours that life has to offer us

SO essentially being curious, is a move away from being stuck in our comfort zones. It’s the curiosity, the quest for knowledge that begins the transformation.

We don’t know how one decision can change our lives. The decision to follow our curiosity as when we do decide to do something different, a whole new world of possibilities arises. We need to be comfortable with not knowing the outcome, but still following our desires.

So, let’s explore ways that we can be more curious:

Ask questions - Especially open-ended questions where we actually have no idea where the answer will come from. Ask lots of questions and don’t be afraid.

Ask for help - We can learn more from others. If you want your career to move in one direction, you can ask for advice from people in that field. People love talking about themselves and what they do, so don’t be afraid to reach out to other humans

Never get bored - I know that when I start to feel bored, it’s time to start learning something new.

Don’t be afraid to say I dont know - even if you're talking to a client, it’s better, to be honest and to want to find out the right answer than to pretend you have the answer. Especially if you really dont know - just say so!

Love to learn - Enjoy the thrill of reading about something new. Enjoy the process without questioning what’s the point

Find joy in your curiosity - Following your curiosity can also be considered a form of self-care. When you explore something that is of interest to you, you’re investing in yourself. Do it with joy and ease instead of making it feel like a burden.
