Cinematic Leap

We did it! We got through a whole season of episodes, rambling our way through many films, some good, some great, some absolutely terrible. But it was fun. This bonus episode we discuss the season, what we learnt, what we would do differently and how the podcast will evolve as we head into season 2 (including inviting the occasional special guest to join us).

We've come a long way. Hopefully you will join us as we head in to season 2 and (hopefully) continue to improve our recording skills!

This week we leap with the great James Gandolfini, to a very different role. From playing a wild thing, to a different kind of wild, in the 1999 crime thriller 8mm. Back again to a Nicolas Cage film, and a quite dark one... what fun... where will we leap from here? Can we ignore Nic? Surely not?

For Mike’s third leap we leap with composer David Newman to Tim Allen sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest. Another week of watching spaceships flying around. We discuss this, how great Alan Rickman is, and some other things before Scott chooses next weeks film!

This week we leap to another Edgar Wright film, this time through cinematographer Bill Pope. Will we love it as much as the last two Wright films we've watched? You may be surprised by the answer. And where will we leap to next? Will we pick another crew member to continue our Edgar Wright run, or move on to films that are not as great...?
