We need to be firm in our Faith. Not to be afraid to share the real Gospel Truth with love! We are not loving someone when we ignore our sins. Allowing others to believe false doctrine can be the difference in their Salvation. Our sins also hurt our relationship with God. We are not loving fellow Christians by ignoring these sins. We must be accountable to one another. When someone is not yet saved, we need to not worry so much about the sin, but rather love on them. We need to show them the love that God has shown us. Share our struggles and while we speak the truth about what the Bible says, we need to remember God will convict them of their sins in His time. When they are not saved, they do not have the Holy Spirit guiding them!
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭5‬, ‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”

Even as God following Christians, we have to overcome fear and anxieties. We are called to persevere not only through our struggles with these, but also to have the courage to answer God's calling to us. To be able to get up on that stage when needed. To make a podcast if that's what he is asking of you. God will equip us in what his path is for us! What is he calling you to? Are you working to build God's Kingdom? We need the determination to resist the world. We need to have the discernment to know what to say to those who do not believe and the courage to give our testimony to bring them to Christ! Pray and ask God what he is calling you to. He is calling you to something. Be blessed!
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭21‬, ‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.”
‭‭
‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭42‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.”

It’s really easy to only think in terms of what is important to ourselves when we are making plans for our lives. There is a better way. God’s plan is better than anything we could think up for ourselves. He knows all the things about us and he is for our good. So why is it sometimes so hard to seek him and his guidance when we need to make decisions in life? That’s ludicrous when you think about it. He knew what his plans were for us before we were formed in our mother’s womb. We do have free will to choose God’s path or not, but we could avoid so much heart ache if we were to seek God first!
Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭14‬-‭18‬ ‭CSB‬‬
”I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began. God, how precious your thoughts are to me; how vast their sum is! If I counted them, they would outnumber the grains of sand; when I wake up, I am still with you.“

Remember, God is always with us. Melissia and Christina talk about how God has been moving in their lives lately. How God shows up even for the mundane of life. God knows our needs and He loves us! They have a chat about the kids going back to school and about some interesting ways of studying the Bible. Exploring the Bible in new ways can be so revealing!
Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?” Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬
‭‭“Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside the king’s command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.”

The Least Will be the Greatest

Christians. Sisters. Best Friends.
God often uses the unlikely people to do his will. Those who are considered less in society and in a worldly sense. These are often the people that God rises up to do great things! In the Bible, God uses prostitutes, the sick, the poor, and woman! He uses those the world sees are less than. God takes them and shows them their worth, lets them know that they are loved and saves them out of their situation. Those who humble themselves and become like children, these will be the greatest in heaven. Jesus did not come for the healthy, he came for the sick. He came to rescue us from ourselves really. If Jesus would have come to this world and sought out the leaders to help him finish his work, his ministry would not have been able to blossom in the way that it did. GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭CSB‬‬
“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “So who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a small child and had him stand among them. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬-‭20‬ ‭CSB‬‬
““Don’t think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭CSB‬‬
“Afterward he was traveling from one town and village to another, preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary, called Magdalene (seven demons had come out of her); Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who were supporting them from their possessions.”

Christians. Sisters. Best Friends.
When we are putting anything before God, that is idolatry. We create our own idols. It doesn’t have to be the great golden calf or something we are literally bowing down to, to be an idol. Anything that we are putting in front of God, we are in a sense worshiping. And aren’t we bowing to them? Serving them? Giving our time, our energies and our talents to them? These things are our godship. We didn’t have time for God today because this, that and also the other. God deserves to be first. We all do it, in some way or another. Sometimes it’s even the works we are doing for God. Think about it, I didn’t have time to sit down with the Bible today, I was serving the poor all day or how about editing a podcast. See we do it too. We need to be conscious of this, so we can take the steps to give God the worship. When we put things between us and God, we break the connection and the path that we have with God. We are not seeking His help like we should, His guidance, His peace, the list goes on! God doesn’t leave us but we are the ones not staying connected. He is for our good and we need to give Him the glory and our time, our worship. God is a righteously jealous God. The only one who has a right to Jealousy. He is jealous for our good. Please continue to pray for Christina and Melissia, for keeping God in the focus, guiding them.
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32‬:20-21‬ CSB‬‬
20 ”He said, “I will hide my face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation — unfaithful children. 21 They have provoked my jealousy with what is not a god; they have enraged me with their worthless idols. So I will provoke their jealousy with what is not a people; I will enrage them with a foolish nation.“
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭CSB‬‬
”And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one — that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, guard yourselves from idols.“

Oh, to be remembered like Tabitha a woman in the book of Acts. Those who knew her, not only mourned the loss of her, but the loss of all she did for everyone. If we could only be remembered that way, what a great compliment that would be! “She was full of good works and acts of charity”. She was a disciple of Jesus and in our lives here on earth, there is nothing more important than that! Whether we have to completely change our schedule or even not go to things like church board meetings to be in the ministry of others, we need to do it. God has called us to serve one another! No matter what our gifts and talents are, serving God is to love. When a scribe said to Jesus he wanted to follow him wherever he went, another disciple said first let me go bury my father. Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead”. Wow! Nothing should get in the way of us following Jesus! Nothing! Not even burying our fathers!
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭CSB‬‬
“A scribe approached him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus told him, “Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” “Lord,” another of his disciples said, “first let me go bury my father.” But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭CSB‬‬
“Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith; if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching; if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬-‭42‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. In those days she became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him, “Please come to us without delay.” So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.”

Christians. Sisters. Best Friends.
There is a great quote from Christian author, Jennie Allen that says, “Great people do not do great things; God does great things through surrendered people.” If we want to walk in the path God has for us, it takes surrender! We as Christians need to die to self. Which means that we are not the important ones, our plans are not what matters. We know that’s hard to hear sometimes. Also, if we are not feeling pulled to compassion for others, then we should give our salvation a hard check!
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭ESV
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.””

We raise our children in hopes that when it’s time for them to go, they are ready. Ready for the world and ready to serve God without you. Did we teach them enough? Did we share enough of our wisdom? Even when we believe they have a good start, it’s still hard to let them move on to the next step. We will miss them and we wonder if we have prepared them to be without our guidance.
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”
Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching. When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.” Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness. When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble. Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life. Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.”
