CH OnAir Broadcast: Gospel Powered Parent/Child Relationships, with Paul Washer
Christian Heritage OnAir - biblical homeschooling & family discipleship | Christian Home Educators of Washington

After becoming a believer during university studies and then receiving a Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Theological Seminary, Paul Washer moved to Peru. He founded the HeartCry Missionary Society in order to support Peruvian church planters, but it now supports indigenous missionaries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Latin America. Paul serves with the HeartCry Missionary Society. He and his wife, Charo, have three children: Ian, Evan, and Rowan.
Paul Washer will lead us through 2 Timothy 3:16 and Deuteronomy 6 as the foundational texts on which we set our marriage and cultivate our children’s conversion and sanctification.
He will help us understand that our primary goal as parents must be for our children to understand and build their lives upon the gospel (conversion).
He will show us how to demonstrate to our children all of the ways in which the gospel transforms our lives and actions, especially with regard to personal relationships, grace, and mercy (sanctification).
He will help us learn how we can create and cultivate relationships with our children, both collectively and individually.
And he will help us see that the relationship between a husband and wife is the example, whether good or bad, for all relationships in our homes: Parent to child. Child to parent. Sibling to sibling.

[powerpress]CH OnAir Broadcast: Returning to the “Why” when you get stuck in the “What,” with Dwight Cover
Christian Heritage OnAir - biblical homeschooling & family discipleship | Christian Home Educators of Washington
11/10/14 • -1 min
Dear Friends,
It was Saturday morning of the Family Relationships & Parenting Conference in Ocean Shores, WA, and I had just sat down to listen to Pastor Dwight Cover’s keynote session, “Why Your Family Matters in the Advance of God’s Kingdom.”
In a matter of minutes into Dwight’s talk, I jumped out of my chair, walked over to my producer for Christian Heritage OnAir, Danny Craig, and said, ”We have to have this guy on the program!”
I could tell Dwight was passionate about the family, but what stood out to me even more was his passing comment about how he and his wife had lost their way – after 20 years of homeschooling! They got disconnected from the “WHY” and had started to drop the ball on the “WHAT”.
Now I could relate to that!
If you can too, please listen in to this next episode of Christian Heritage OnAir as Pastor and homeschooling father, Dwight Cover, shares his testimony of returning to the “Why” when he got stuck in the “What.” Listen in for six reasons we must keep the “Why” in view and the transformation we can experience when we do.
“See” you there!
