Christ, Culture, & Coffee
Expressing your preferred pronouns to co-workers, fellow students, and teachers has become a cultural expectation over the past few years. Many organizations require their students or employees to list their preferred pronouns in their email signature, social media handle, etc. What is the Christian perspective on preferred pronouns? How are we to think about this current cultural movement from a Christian Worldview perspective? How are we to interact with those around us who have this expectation of us? In this episode, we discuss the hot topic of preferred pronouns and how Christians should respond. We hope that this episode helps you to think clearly about what Scripture says and how we can apply this to our current situation. As salt and light, we are to go out into the world and speak the truth as we love our neighbors as ourselves. Episode 180: The Body of Christ with Special Guest Brandon Ray of Inkledeux

Sometimes it is easy to forget that the Church is made up of people who are different from one another. Different temperaments, personalities, giftings, and passions. Each one of us is unique and God wants to use us to prosper His kingdom in the ways that He has designed us to, within our personalities, temperaments, etc. This week we are joined by our friend Brando Ray from the Inkledeux Podcast and Coffee Roastery. He shares with us the impact that apologetics has had in his life, and also how he uses serving others in order to share the Gospel of Jesus with others. We hope this episode encourages you and helps you to see that God can use you right where you are at to reach the world with the Gospel. Episode 182: What Are Miracles & Why Does God Do Them?

The Bible is full of miracles. Moses, Elijah, Jesus, and the Disciples all performed amazing “signs and wonders”. But what qualifies as a miracle, and how do miracles apply to our lives today? Should we be expecting miracles to happen often? Does answered prayer qualify as a miracle? What about things that seem to be a coincidence? Does God get credit for them? In this episode we look at different classes of miracles and how they apply to our lives. We believe that using the word “miracle” when a miracle has not occurred is damaging to our witness and invites our skeptical friends to scrutinize our beliefs. We want to be clear on what miracles are and use the term in the way that the Bible uses it. We hope that this episode will help you to be a good witness for the God who performs miracles.
