Chasing The Sun

Chasing The Sun

ETBR

On my, my, my way, I am getting what I deserve. Nothing will hold me back or stop me. I have been through many trails, I have stumbled many times, but I still got back up. I am chasing the light. Sometimes you have to feel that fire, while still dancing through the night. The smile on my face like the sunshine isn’t going anywhere. Accepting who I am and not changing myself to please others anymore. I am putting myself first and standing my ground. I let so many walk all over me and take advantage of me, not anymore. I love my flaws and scars, it made me who I am. I will shine bright and no one will ever dim my light again. Through my trails lessons were learned, while scars taught me how to be strong. I know I am strong and I get through anything, but I have to love myself first.

Chasing The Sun - All The Pieces Of Me Shattered
play

01/11/25 • 1 min

Why is it the ones who did you wrong, show up years later. Six years ago not only did you block me, you also got engaged. You were too scared to tell me, so you told my friend to tell me. I will always be petty because you deserve it. Don’t show back up years later and think I will forgive you because I won’t. What you did, it stung and it hurt. I could have gone to your commander. I could have told the girl you got engaged with who you really are, but did I, no. I had enough of you going through my social medias and going behind my back talking to my friends to know what I am doing. How about you mind your own business. There is reason why I don’t talk to you. Why I don’t follow you or why we aren’t friends. You chose your path, and stay on that path. I don’t care what you have to say. I enjoyed my last six years drama free and not once thinking about you, until you showed back up again. You will have to live with your own consequences of your actions. I was good to you, but you ghosted me, like I never meant anything to you. You threw me away like a piece of trash, so keep your side piece. What you did hurt, and anytime I see your name it reminds me of the pain. All the pieces of me shattered, until one day all the pieces of me weren’t shattered anymore. I just became someone who had no more cares in the world anymore. I was strong, and I stood my ground. No more second chances, one chance was enough. If you screwed up that one chance, I will never give anymore.

Chasing The Sun - Like A Phoenix, Open My Wings Up (Now I Can Fly)
play

01/08/25 • 1 min

Like a phoenix opening my wings to now I can fly, it took me a while to get to this point. I had many who tried to fail me, say I wasn’t enough or I wasn’t going to make it. Many set traps which didn’t work, because in the end they fell into them. Many who tried to destroy my reputation, only ended up destroying theirs. They lost their credibility as well as their reputation. The bad you do onto others will only fall back onto you. Being good to others will bring good things back to you. Maybe you should work on yourself, instead being miserable and making everyone around you miserable. Life has its ups and downs, but you are only creating your down fall when you try to hurt others. I am no longer hiding my light. I will shine bright and I don’t care if you don’t like it. I worked very hard to get where I am. I am thankful for the support and the ones who have supported me throughout years. Many of the ones who supported me, helped me get to where I am today. Never forget where you came from, but also never forget your roots and who you truly are. Respect and love yourself, and it will bring you a long way. Remain humble and kind, but know when to bring the hammer down as well. Life is too short to please others.

Chasing The Sun - You Know You're Good

You Know You're Good

Chasing The Sun

play

01/11/25 • 1 min

You know you’re good when you no longer ask to see no one. If they don’t text you or respond, you don’t care anymore. I am tired of putting in the effort, being stood up or left in the dark. I don’t care anymore. You will never see me ask to see anyone ever again. Waiting in a restaurant for almost two hours, to no response, why should I care? I am tired of the excuses. You have gotten to the point in your life that being with your husband is the only thing you need or by yourself. You don’t need a large group of friends to be happy. You don’t need to see everyone all the time to be happy either. If they don’t make the effort, then why should I? This is a two way street, it can’t be a one way street. If we can’t meet in the middle, then I am done. I have had my limit. Life is too short to depend on the ones who can so easily leave you in the dark and not even care. They will keep repeating the same way they have treated you since from the beginning, until it either breaks you or makes you realize you deserve better. All of us deserve better, but sometimes we have to be taught the same lesson multiple times, to realize we deserve better and we should do something about it. It’s hard to step out of something you’re comfortable with, but that’s the only way for things to change. Even ending certain relationships because it’s effecting your health. It’s hard to walk away, but sometimes waling away is the only choice we have left. Walking away is when the healing starts, but you if don’t walk away you will never heal.

Chasing The Sun - With A Broken Heart

With A Broken Heart

Chasing The Sun

play

01/11/25 • 1 min

No one knows how broken you are, until they can’t find that old version of you again. You are done trusting or letting anyone in. Many would say it’s your fault that those two individuals broke your confidentiality. That the information shared was confidential. They keep showing up, like nothing ever happened. Playing the pity game and acting like they are the victim. They keep on with drama, but many are getting tired of them. Once someone who was your boss, who you trusted. Not only did they betrayed you, they also humiliated you. The whole store now knows my confidential information because you couldn’t keep your mouth shut. You deserve the punishment you got, you deserve what you got. Not only did you ruin your reputation, you destroyed your credibility. Giving you the cold shoulder and never speaking to you ever again, was best decision I have made. Many took my side, it wasn’t about who was innocent. It was the fact I was the bigger person and I handle it like an adult, while you handle it like a child. You are still acting like child. Someone you once knew, will forever be a stranger. I am not in the mood to forgive right now, eventually I will, but this taught me to be closed off. To never trust anyone and to never ask for help. My broken heart will heal, and I won’t have to amend the bridges that were burned. I will open back up once I heal. You won’t find me where I was before. I chose to heal and to move on. You chose to hold a grudge, and it’s destroying you in ever aspect of your life. With a broken heart, I still got back up and kept going on with my life, no matter how painful it got.

When your boss above your boss who takes their side, and doesn’t believe you about a situation. The same situation has happened twice. Now the whole situation has come full circle, and they leave after you do. It shows it wasn’t just you who had enough. You let the person act out, while you remained quiet. Lights, camera, smile, you will never know how broken I am. I always been good hiding my emotions. It’s getting to the point where I needed to heal and learn to express how I actually felt. There is a point in my life I learned how to lay down the hammer. I mean business, no one will walk all over me or try to use me. Either many would try to use me or take advantage of me, not anymore. I don’t care if hurts your feelings. You didn’t care about mine, while you dance all over mine. You can’t have it both ways, it’s either one way or the other. I don’t care about your excuses or apology. Save it for yourself, no more wasting my time either. You chose to leave, and you are no longer allowed back into my life. Six months later, I have coming a long way, but I am not one percent healed. It will take time, but I have come along. No one will ever be allowed to take important days away from me and make it all about them. No more letting someone know I have nothing to do with you, I will just block you. You will never know I left. You will never hear from me ever again, but don’t show back up years later like I have something to do with you, because I don’t.
