Letting Go of Plans with Jolie Jenkins

“I've found a lot of magic and fun in the [surrender]. Just working to really create something in a moment or a scene or in a role, where I'm trying to make my co-star laugh, there's so much more lightness about it. It's a good life lesson.”

Actress Jolie Jenkins talks to Suzanne about going with the flow, surrendering to the process, and to surrendering life in general.

About Our Guest:
Jolie has performed all her life. She started working professionally in musical theatre during high school and then moved to NYC to sing and dance. Her fave shows while there include The Who's Tommy on Broadway and The Fantasticks off-Broadway. She moved to LA at age 24 and has been consistently working in TV ever since. She's done a lot of guest stars, commercials, comedies, dramas, many pilots that never saw the light of day. For many years she wrote a blog called Joeycake about food and living in crazy Los Angeles, and several mostly comedic essays for the Huffington Post. She is most recently known for the Netflix family hit, "Alexa & Katie" and currently can be seen on Nickelodeon's "The Really Loud House," which is a live-action version of the popular cartoon "The Loud House". She plays the mom of 11 kids, but in reality, she just has 2:) Louie and Hugo, ages 8 and 4. Jolie also does voiceover and teaches acting in her spare time.
