We decided to make a podcast to highlight the different craft beers in the south central Pennsylvania area. Each episode we will sample a few local craft beers with hopes of visiting the breweries and meeting the brewers to discuss their love of craft beer. Season 4 Episode 8 Alecraft Brewery Dave and Bret talked a bit about the Winter Brew Fest that was held in Red Lion, PA at the Double Barrel Roadhouse and the release of their collab with Sign of the Horse Brewery. Then they were happy to talk with Brad Streett from Alecraft Brewery in Railroad, PA. Brad and his wife, Eryn, had a passion for craft beer and decided to take their homebrewing by starting a homebrew supply shop in Bel Air, MD. The met there partners through this venture and then decided to open their brewery in Maryland and now have opened in Railroad, PA. Listen in to hear the whole story and find out how this passion is crafting artisan beer. Brad gave us a classic hefeweizen, hazy IPA, west coast IPA and a coffee stout to sample. It was a pleasure to get to know Brad and we recommend a visit to their place.

Trace Brewing Season 3 Episode 6 Bret and Dave had the pleasure of talking with Aadam Soorma from Trace Brewing in Pittsburgh, PA. Aadam reached out after Bret had visited them back in March. The visit was by recommendation and glad it was. Trace is a quaint place to visit with a cool industrial feel. Besides great beer, they also do gourmet coffee. Aadam filled us in his journey to Trace and the whole story behind what Trace is all about. They also help teach the future generation of brewers with their Vocational Program. What a great idea! If you're interested in participating, it is limited so get in early. Oh, and Aadam had a great article written about him in Forbes Magazine! Check it out here If you're ever in the Pittsburgh area, specifically the Bloomfield neighborhood, I highly recommend a visit to them. Season 4 Episode 7 Prototype Brewery & Meadery All the hosts were in studio today, Kevin, Dave & Bret, and we had the pleasure of getting to know Kevin Keller and Logan Rider from Prototype Brewery & Meadery. We find out what this "prototype" is and how this collaborative effort got its start. From a group of friends that love beer, they developed an idea to be different and becoming a collaborating brewery until the right place and time come along to open their own place. Their story is interesting and so cool, that we had to have them on to tell their story. Episode 1 - Gunpowder Falls Brewing Dave and Bret had an educational and exciting interview with Martin Virga from Gundpowder Falls Brewing in New Freedom, PA. Martin is brewing up traditional German Style lager beers and following the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) with just four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.

We find out Martin's path on where and how he learned to brew these traditional styles. In Germany of course! He even teaches us a little German, even though we didn't understand what he said (LOL). If you're looking for great traditional beers and authentic German food, this is a must visit place and we can't wait to get there. Dave & Bret had the pleasure of welcoming John Shaffer from Antifragile Brewing Co. in studio. A Penn State University graduate that was in the wealth management field and started a brewery in downtown Penn State. From kombucha to having a an interest in starting a brewery, his story is phenomenal and is a must watch. He also helps facilitate the Hoppy Valley Brewers Festival in Beaver Stadium, which is right in the stadium. His vision and mindset will help him grow his vision.
