We wish to offer you the opportunity to join our monthly Celtic Wisdom Talks Podcast open to all, inclusive and free. At Slí An Chroí this is our way to gift you the powerful Celtic wisdom of esteemed peers and colleagues.


Listen at your leisure over the year as both of us hold sacred conversations with the most amazingly wise and witty people from a shamanic viewpoint. Each episode is themed from the seasonal to the Celtic Festivals and prominent public events. We invite you to cosy by the fire or sit in nature or wherever you are comfortable and notice what Mother Nature mirrors back to you as you listen.


John Cantwell and Dr. Karen Ward are husband and wife, co-founders and directors of Slí An Chroí Shamanism. They met during the auspicious week of the solar eclipse in August 1999. They share a life of ever deepening connection to the natural world. The Ancestral lineage of Shamanism in Ireland, including that of Druidry is a vital vein of resource for them. Karen and John bring warmth, integrity, and gratitude into all their work.

Danú Forest is a traditional bean feasa or wisewoman who is both Irish and British with over 30 years’ experience in the Celtic traditions. Born with the second sight she is a natural seer working closely with the spirits of the land and its ancestral and Otherworldly intelligences as well as plant and tree spirits. Noted for her scholarship as well as her intuitive and practical experience, she is the author of several books including ‘Wild Magic’, 'Celtic Tree Magic' (Llewellyn) and her new oracle deck, ‘Celtic Goddesses Witches and Queens’ (Schiffer). Billie is seventh generation Irish from the wilds of Connemara, in the West of Ireland. She now lives in the Australian outback near Braidwood in the vicinity of Canberra. With her husband Andrew Einspruch and daughter Tamsin, they run a large Animal Sanctuary called Deep Peace.
