Hello, I'm Gail Nobles. I've got some sad news today. According to the headlines, Rudolph Isley of the Isley Brothers has passed away at age 84. He was one of the founding members of the Isley Brothers. According to the news, Rudolph died from a heart attack at his home. He wrote and recorded and released the significant recording "Shout" with his brothers landing a deal with RCA records in 1959. "Shout" was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
Rudolph & his brothers also had other hits like That Lady and It's Your Thing. Following Shout, Rudolph and his brothers recorded for other labels with modest success with exceptions including the top 40 hit, Twist and Shout and the Motown hit This Old Heart Of Mine ( Is Weak For You)
