But it’s not your average Greek and Roman mythology podcast, this one is told by a 30-something Millennial with a penchant for cursing and a feminist attitude. The stories are deeply researched, thoroughly told, and they don’t hold back the details that have been sugarcoated and treated with kid gloves over the millennia since they were originally told.
There’s violence, assault, and so, so many gods transforming into animals to have their way [with women and nymphs]. Let’s Talk About Myths, Baby! is casual and fun but equally knowledgeable and will leave you with a deeper understanding of the myths and the people who told them those many, many years ago." Hosted by Liv Albert, this podcast is great because it's a nice chatty (even though there is only one person talking) podcast that makes history and myths super accessible.
For both: I like the Hercules/Heracles series because that guy was actually kind of a dick.

Most are dedicated to a particular substance or type of substance, there's also live shows, special guest interviews and AMA's thrown into the mix. Episodes range from about 20-40 minutes.

Another Listener submission! This one is an interesting artifact as it seems to combine a few common themes that Zane like to bring to his fellow castologists. Part true-crime, part history, part comedy, the hosts Dylan, Brent, and Forrest dig into the unusual, unorthodox, and downright unsettling beliefs found at the depths of the Internet and the heights of paranoia. They are kind of a podcast on the history of ideas, except the ideas come mainly from cranks, con artists, extremists, frauds, and other chronic failures. Whether they promote pseudoscience, alternative medicine, fringe religions, radical politics, or revisionist history.

Each episode features the detectives who broke the case in their small town, and includes assets like jailhouse phone calls, suspect interviews and 9-1-1 calls. The show is anchored by veteran, identical-twin detectives Dan and Dave, and hosted by actress, Yeardley Smith." It also used to be hosted by Zibby Allen but she mysteriously disappeared from the podcast recently and there are conflicting reports as to why.
