What could this practice of care pods mean for the wider world? What value could it generate across a variety of systems, in teams, movements and communities?

We expand on the impact we felt and experienced and speculate on the models’ wider implications and potential in a bubbly conversation that touches on mental health, wellbeing, complexity, systems change, the gig economy, new and old stories, diversity, self-determination and more!

We explore what practices ‘made the difference’ in our pod’s valuable journey together. Some recipes we borrowed from others and we led a couple experiments of our own.

We look at what practices we would bring forward into other small groups and what practices of ours might work for other groups around the world. We also talk about rituals that served us in different ‘seasons’ of our pod and how our co-creation of collective artefacts and processes evolved over time as our Pod matured – and how to get resourced while doing it!

One of the most important rhythms that sustained us as a Care Pod over an extended period of time was a commitment to gathering. In this episode we explore what retreats, both physical and virtual made possible for us as a pod and how it served our purpose.

We dive into how we made this work across multiple locations and timezones, how distributed roles in co-design and co-hosting, highlights and challenges and how we were inspired by other facilitators and experience designers in the art of gathering.
