When you really look into your life, what matters the most? The night before Jesus would die on the cross, he talk to the disciples about what really matters to him. He reveals that he wants his people to never be alone, be obedient, and to trust his peace will be enough! John 14 explains that this is all done through the advocate that Jesus sends, who is the Holy Spirit! How are you experiencing the help of the Holy Spirit this week? How are you allowing him to stay obedient to Jesus and how are you inviting his peace into your life?

D.L. Moody says, “Moses spent 40 years thinking he was somebody, 40 years learning he was nobody, and 40 discovering what God can do with a nobody." Moses is a rich story in the Bible of someone discovering what partnership is: going after God's purpose with God's people.
Like Moses, have you known what God has called you to do, but have let your fears or limits keep you from it? The joy of partnership is realizing you have something to bring, and the freedom of partnership is realizing you don't have to bring it all on your own.

Everyone has a story - you have a story! The greatest story of all is what people all over the world celebrate on Easter. 1 John 4:9-10 says, “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love - not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” God showed the world and invites everyone into a new kind of story.

Think about a new career path or interest you begin to pursue - things change. When there is a change in identity, there must be a change in habits. Theologian N.T. Wright says, “Where a new world is born, a new way of life goes with it.” He’s not the only one who has noticed this about humans; it’s all throughout Scripture. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
When God is doing something new, people need new containers to receive the new. When people begin to see and receive Jesus differently, people begin to live and give differently. But how? There are habits, rhythms, and fundamentals of walking with Jesus that are an invitation not to master but rather to partner with God in becoming more like him. Do you ever feel like you receive but don't give back to your people and your community? Living a life with Jesus means being a giver, not just a receiver! Paul explains in Philippians 4:10-20 that there is Joy in giving; it prompts others in your community to do the same, and in contentment there is generosity! Write out verses 11-13 this week word for word as your prayer to God and invite him to reveal things that are and are not true in your life. What is he inviting you to do? Who will you invite to discover the joy of generosity?
