Episode 20: Jim Douglass on "Love Your Enemies"

Jim Douglass, author, Catholic Worker, and lifelong peace and justice activist, explains the importance of Christ's command to "love your enemies" (MT 5:44), recounting an experience he had with an "enemy" within the Church during the Second Vatican Council. He also explains how John Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev's own version of love of enemies allowed them to work together to avert nuclear war. He shares with us the three things Dorothy Day told him before she died, and he talks about the connections between John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Dr. King and Malcolm X, and why they died, and why it matters. But most of all, Jim reminds us of the Good News!
