Julie grew up in South Africa in a Christian home, but shortly after she was born her dad stopped attending church. Growing up, television had some negative influences in her life, she also struggled with trying to fit in with the other school kids.

During Year 12, she skipped lunch to do something that made Jesus become her best friend, what was it?
