For episode 100, we thought rather than patting each other on the back, we’d bring to you a feature length presentation on our previous employers, the MiB. The Mibs. We roll through several cases associated with these nefarious individuals from Harold Dahl’s famous account in 1947 all the way to a Niagara Falls hotel sighting in 2008. Along the way, Moonwalker realises that he’s the sceptical one and has a change of heart. Can Moonie keep it up? We discover the real, serious business that the Men in Black cover. We ponder whether MiB’s wear human suits or simply take over human consciousness? On the note of suits, is there a MiB uniform and as a new MiB is it the last suit you’ll ever wear? We ask ourselves why dogs may not like MiB’s and come up with an allegedly truthful answer. How does this all tie to Dan Aykroyd? All that and more on this week’s lengthy, large, monster of a file.

Meanwhile, at the mention of Master Chief, we couldn’t help but pop in a clip of the famous Halo Theme. This was composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori and was of course the theme from Bungie’s Halo: Combat Evolved (as well as subsequent releases, with 343 Industries now at the helm courtesy of Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios). Not for Moonwalker so much but Greybeard has wonderful memories of playing through Halo 3 with a friend from university (who grenade-jumped in to the scarab) meanwhile, Greybeard still hasn’t recovered from the emotional impact of playing through Halo: Reach and in particular, the last stand. For the second time in the podcast, you will also have heard the first section of the Lemmiwinks song (The Ballad of Lemmiwinks) from South Park season 6 episode 14. Thank you to Trey Parker and Matt Stone along with everyone at South Park Studios once again for clearly inspiring our humour for decades to come. On the note of inspiration, purely because Greybeard absolutely loves the franchise, we included the Fortune Telling House Theme from the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past which was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991 (Japan) and 1992 (North America and the United Kingdom/Europe). The music was composed by series legend Kōji Kondō. A bit of But It Was Aliens trivia for you - Greybeard has played through A Link to the Past to completion more than any other game he has ever owned. It holds up. Following on from that, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Shop Theme was also utilised, again composed by Kōji Kondō. We love Nintendo.

The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe Japanese fishermen who allegedly truthfully encountered a strange object. The object, was carrying a mysterious female potentially not of this earth. An extraterrestrial origin you see, is the only possible explanation for red hair. This one gets a little bit fishy in plaices as Kev puns himself out. As the tale moves on, an old man comes, to see what all the fuss is about and develops a theory. The old man knew that there was only one way to deal with these types of incidents... Is this case connected to the Rendlesham Forest incident? Does Japan have a nip-on? Who put a toe in who? The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe Igor Terzic. We also probe Barry Macdonald. Are the tales of these two gentlemen connected? Before that though, we get sidetracked on the facts of Glasgow and the worlds biggest drinking bars. We then get back to Igor, in the middle, of the road... On that note, did Igor drive a 1967 Shelby GT and is this a lovely motor or a pile of rusting trash? Whilst taking this ride, we also ponder whether Moonwalker would make love to a car and whether Greybeard is the Butt Smasher (of House Butt Smash - remember the previous episode). Just to add folks, we are aware that whales don’t really have huge gaping butts. We know whales do mushy scale 5-6 poops and we don’t really think that a human could be digested, pass through and come out of a whale whole. But Moonwalker could. We mean my gosh, have you seen the man? Knight Rider somehow comes up as we move on and we ask you, loyal probers, will Moonwalker review the whole series? We have some time left over after Igor vanishes so we then briefly covered Barry Macdonald and a sighting Barry was able to record due to going on a secluded wander with his lady-friend and coincidently having a video camera set up and ready to go. Of course, as we parodied the story we couldn’t resist an instrumental snippet from Kyle Gass and Jack Black’s rocking band Tenacious D’s first single from their self-titled 2001 album, Tribute. Which is not the greatest song in the world, no, it’s just a tribute. That song resides under Epic labels catalogue and was produced by the Dust Brothers. Check it out on all good streaming platforms, what a song! A bit of trivia for our UK listeners - Tribute was never actually released as a single in the UK despite its massive air time and popularity. Alongside that there was an ever so brief snippet from Mario Kart 64’s Toad’s Turnpike courtesy of Nintendo (and composed by Kenta Nagata) as we discussed traffic coming towards Igor. We also included, mainly for Moonwalker’s benefit, a snippet of the Stuart Phillips composition, the theme from 1980’s television staple Knight Rider starring David Hasselhoff. Wikipedia also lists Glen A. Larson as a composer of that iconic theme.

The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe Scotlands most famous resident, the Loch Ness Monster. There’s of course a lot of visual evidence of Nessie including THAT photo (the Surgeon’s Photograph) but is this evidence honourable and trustworthy? Many believe that the monster is a plesiosaur but is that even possible? This is explored along with other theories. But where did it all begin? Well, this episode covers that too for you see, around 565 CE Saint Columba had what is believed to be the first ever encounter with the Loch Ness monster, at River Ness. Being a saint, would the power of the cross protect Columba? If not a plesiosaur, could Nessie be a buff eel, or a buff otter? What about a Tully Monster and speaking of Tullies, did the historic residents of Atlantis used to ride Tully Monsters? Could dolphins and Nessie be working together using crystals (calling back to a previous episode on dolphins)? Marine biologists will probably be disgusted by what they hear in this episode but sometimes, you’ve just got to open your mind. On the note of opening your mind, what if Pokemon were real and do Magikarp utilise performance enhancing drugs? If you really, really open your mind, just wait until you get a load of what History’s Ancient Aliens think about the origins of the Loch Ness monster... But could these ideas, linked to electromagnetic energies in deep bodies of water, explain the frequency of alien sightings around watery bodies? All that and more on this week’s file.

There was also a segment whereby we uncovered the truth behind the Surgeon’s Photo in which the backing music to this section was Lurking In The Darkness, a tune from the Square Enix masterpiece Final Fantasy 7. The original soundtrack was composed by Nobuo Uematsu and produced by Uematsu along with Minoru Akao. Alongside that, you may have noticed the wonderful Dire, Dire Docks theme from Super Mario 64 courtesy of Nintendo and composed by legendary Koji Kondo. You know by now that we love to stick in special memories from our childhood and this one is particularly beautiful. On the note of beautiful, as we discussed Zora (again), there was a segment including the Zora’s Domain theme from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (originally composed by Kōji Kondō). Finally, you may have heard Nintendo’s Pokemon theme thrown in there as Pokemon was discussed - created via Nintendo, Game Freak and original composer Junichi Masuda from whom’s work the Pokemon series music grew. The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe real star gates. Yes, star gates that actually exist on earth. Also, some that exist not on earth. Plus some that exist, around the earth. Full disclosure, star gates are legitimately scientifically possible and actually, they do exist. We do a sweep of the world debating which earthly structures may be real, functioning ones (as opposed to those ones in space between the earth and the sun). Amongst all that, Moonwalker and Greybeard disclose their intentions to probe around the country in Extraterrestrial Tent. An important question is also answered - who would walk through the door of heroes? Jokes aside, could a functioning star gate explain the troubles in Iraq during the 1990’s or 2003-2011? Later, there was a snippet titled Ending Theme from the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys composed via Joseph LoDuca and courtesy of MCA Television, Universal Television Enterprises and Studios USA Television Distribution. Then not for the first time on this podcast, there was a snippet of the Main Title Theme from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, composed by Nerf Herder. Television was a wonderful thing in the 1990’s. By this point you’ve probably realised that we got carried away with the pop culture this episode, but there was also a snippet of the theme from the Donkey Kong Country animated TV series, composed by Pure West. Here he comes BANANA SLAMMA! Finally, there was a clip from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original animated series theme, composed by Chuck Lorre and Dennis Challen Brown.
