Quotes:
7:48 Deb: “He said well, you have a nine millimeter tumor and your femur is broken in three places. And it's cancer and we don't know what kind, total blank at that point. I was like, okay, I heard nothing. His mouth was moving. But nothing was going in my ears at that point. I looked over at my girlfriends that were there, they frantically took out notebooks and were writing every single word. They were scribing because I didn't know what to say. And then he's like, I'm going to give you a couple minutes, and I'm going to leave the room and come back. He goes, read the notes from your girlfriends. Because he knew I wasn't listening. I was like, I have no idea.”

Quotes:
35:36 Emily: “It's so sweet and I feel like kids are such great conduits for so many important conversations. And for us, it really became a point where we could go, we could really start talking about a lot of the more nuanced aspects of people can identify as women. And that that those things, those characteristics aren't necessarily like the only defining characteristics. And then that has actually been a great teaching point in that not only like raising a little boy to recognize, you know, that there is a much bigger element of gender fluidity that that we don't recognize and sometimes really in the breast cancer community too. We can, we can kind of fall short of recognizing it because It's so stereotypically a female disease and like my, my, my grandfather had had breast cancer. And so, it, it's always been very important for me to recognize that breast cancer isn't necessarily something that women get, and that people who have breast cancer don't necessarily identify as women and you don't get however, however, their presentation might be.”
