Exodus 34;21 gives some good advise. Put aside all that busy-ness, all the rushing around, all the getting stuff done we seem to focus on doing, and take some time, to rest, refresh, and be with God.

“You shall have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, even during the seasons of plowing and harvest.”

As I walk to the bus early each morning, I pass familiar faces, out walking their dogs, or getting some exercise. There is one man I pass, who has his earbuds in, as most people do, and though he waves at me and nods, and mumbles an occasional hello, it is clear that he is deep in business related conversation.

I am reminded
