In 2011, American Samoa was ranked dead-last in the FIFA International Rankings. The Pacific Island has 55,000 people, and very few resources to put towards soccer. They called for help, and coach Thomas Rongen came to help. It was so bad, he was told to bring 20 soccer balls with him so they could train properly. The story of the team working towards winning their first game is absolutely inspiring, and is told brilliantly by one of our favorite documentaries, Next Goal Wins, with has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 100%. It is now being made into a theatrical movie, set to release in 2021. Thomas was a delight to interview. Listen in as he shares his experience, and the personal growth he went through.

If you have ever worked with us, are working with us, or will work with us, you are working with our amazing guest by proxy. This episode was special. I had the opportunity to thank the dude who completely shifted my career forever. Bob Seebohar did a call eight years ago talking about "Metabolic Efficiency" and how to burn fat as fuel as an endurance athlete by embracing dietary fat and reducing carbohydrates. At the time, it blew my mind. Bob was one of the first US Triathlon Level III Coaches in the country. He now has a bunch of letters behind his name, and runs several successful companies, including eNRG, which is his flagship company. He also makes delicious snacks that fit his program with his company Birota Foods! This was an absolute honor and I will be forever grateful for Bob and his work.

AND HE BIRDIED IT.
If his passion and enthusiasm don't radiate your soul, we don't know what to tell you. We were so grateful to chat with him today!

My buddy Cameron Morgensen asked about podcasting, so I brought my stuff over on a Saturday morning. When I hit record to "test it out", I pulled out my list of questions, and he realized I had bamboozled him into being a guest! We captured an amazing conversation! Cameron is a great friend. He is smart, very articulate, and has some great stories to tell. Today, we talk about his nutrition and why he started fasting, his service in the Army, and the joy of riding bikes. Cameron also talked about gratitude, love, and kindness, which are all so important. These are the conversations that make me grateful for the amazing people in my life, and I'm so glad we got it recorded! This one is a gem.
Personally, I learned how important these conversations are. I think we take our closest friends and family for granted. It makes me want to be a better listener, every day, with the most awesome people in my life.

We had such a fun chat with Dr. Mark Cucuzzella! Dr. Cucuzella is a family medicine doctor working in West Virginia. He discovered the low-carb diet in 2012, and has been using it successfully in his practice since. His amazing and free PDF program teaches people how to successfully execute the ketogenic diet on any budget. He has also used the diet to help himself and others in applying the diet to endurance sports! Dr. Cucuzzella has run over 100 (wow!) marathons and ultra-marathons in his career, including this 100 mile race earlier this year! As a Lt. Col. in the US Air Force, he writes the USAF Efficient Running Program. He is also the author of the book "Run For Your Life", which he wrote in 2018. He owns the running store Two Rivers Treads, which focuses on minimalist shoes. We could go on and on. He was an amazing guest, we are so grateful for all the work he does and shares freely, and we had a blast!

What an amazing episode! The Rogue Zen Monk Jacques-Pierre Cole joins us today to talk about mindfulness, gratitude, and meditation, and how it saved him from his dark past. He even leads us in a guided meditation, which we are releasing as a stand-alone episode here! We were so grateful for Jacques-Pierre and his work.

What a great interview this was! Bob Burg is an international keynote speaker and bestselling author! He and John D. Mann wrote The Go-Giver, a business parable recommended by none other than Jon Absey, the Hall of Fame Jazz Bear who was one of our first guests on the show! The book promotes providing a high level of value, being authentic, and sharing your gifts with the world, and also has a ton of other helpful and subtle practices that can improve your business and personal life. This book made a huge impact on us, and is a North Star for our own business practices. We were so grateful for his kind work, and his time today!

THE Dr. Benjamin Bikman. What an privilege. It was a pleasure to chat with him, and to learn from him over the years. Dr. Bikman is one of the most respected insulin researchers in the world. In 2018, he stepped onto the stage at Low-Carb Breckenridge and delivered his talk, which shot him into the stratosphere of the low-carb world. Since then, he has continued his marvelous research, started a supplement company, and wrote a wonderful book called "Why We Get Sick". His discourse at BYU called "The Plagues of Prosperity" is absolutely phenomenal, and this conversation is full of humility and wisdom. I had to pinch myself a few times during this talk, it was an absolute honor to host him.
