Body of Christ Radio Network - Kings and Priests: **ENCORE - Politics the Lesser of Two Evils
play

08/26/17 • 90 min

In the Dark, Shadowy world of Politics, success is not a matter of virtue but vice. The mere word “Politics” conjures up every negative and wicked imagination. Politics has become synonymous with lies, deceit, scandal, greed, corruption and evil. Sadly, this is no longer a matter of opinion but fact. That being said; many of us willingly play these political games in a Democracy ruled by hypocrisy. Society as a whole has become so jaded with the political process that we no longer demand any semblance of truth, virtue or morality from our so-called leaders. As the power of Satan grows in the world, those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ often wonder if they should be involved in the political process at all. When choosing political candidates it is often said that we must choose the lesser of two evils. But as a Christian is it EVER acceptable to choose evil? Join us for another installment of “From Darkness to Light” as we use the Holy Bible to condemn the Lesser of Two Evils and Choose Jesus Christ – Who is the Greatest of all Good! We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am. All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Body of Christ Radio Network - Repentance is the Key: The Politics of Religion
play

09/08/17 • 85 min

America claims to be “One Nation under God” while at the same time upholding the separation of Church and State. This contradiction can be seen at the heart of every major issue affecting the nation. Politicians often claim to be men of faith but rarely if ever do they look to the Holy Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ for instruction. This paradox is especially prevalent in the African American Community where many of its political leaders also wear the titles of Reverends, Ministers, and Bishops. But can Religion and Politics ever truly co-exist? – And how welcome are Biblical values in a political arena which caters to the wicked and the Godless. Join us today for another edition of “Repentance is the Key” as we examine the Politics of Faith! We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am. All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Body of Christ Radio Network - Repentance is the Key: 10 Million Black Men in Church
play

08/11/17 • 69 min

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) held an annual convention at the end of July, 2011. They addressed a number of issues that face African-Americans, in particular, the vicious cycle of crime and unemployment that plagues black men and youths. They cite the loss of manufacturing jobs, shrinking government jobs and the recession as major contributors, but the primary factor cited was the low level of education or rather, the lack thereof. Is pushing for higher standards in urban schools where the majority of the students are minorities really the key to breaking the vicious cycle of violence and prison? Will pushing our youth to strive for educational excellence keep them from becoming fodder for the criminal justice system or should we be looking beneath the surface of inferior education? Join us as we search the scriptures for answers to these questions and more. We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00PM, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am. All times are Eastern Standard Tim

Body of Christ Radio Network - Gun Violence. Is there a remedy?

Gun Violence. Is there a remedy?

Body of Christ Radio Network

play

03/11/18 • 62 min

The 2nd amendment guarantees American citizens the right to bear arms. What happens when there is ensuing bloodshed and death as a result of that right? Is the right to bear arms also synonymous with the right to maim and murder? The incidence of gun violence and mass shooting is increasing at an alarming rate. From parishioners to concert attendees to students, many have been affected either directly or indirectly by gun violence. Heated debates continue as lawmakers attempt to find a solution to this divisive and deadly problem but are they only looking to find solutions at the surface level? Should background checks be more extensive to include mental and psychological evaluation? Should only a certain type of ammunition be used? Should the sale of firearms be more restricted? Should American society in general focus on the gun itself or should American society look at itself? Is it about the gun or the individual using it? Should the burden of finding a remedy to this problem lie solely upon the shoulders of lawmakers or should we as citizens turn to the Holy Bible for solutions? Do the scriptures offer counsel as to how to handle and maintain a firearm? Can the Bible offer us route to a peaceful remedy without further bloodshed and death?

Although Donald Sterling was an astute business man and former lawyer, he is most imfamously known as the former owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers. In 2014, a private conversation between he and his "mistress" was recorded without his knowledge and made public. The result of that conversation going viral caused one fo the NBA's longest tenured team owners of more than 33 years to be permanately banned form all league activities, pay the maxumim fine allowed for violating the NBA's code of ethics and ultimately selling his team. This evening we revisit this topic in hopes of learning how to make sense of things, in light of the supposedly being in a "post racial" America. Body of Christ Radio Network - Conspiracy To Imprison Black Men

Conspiracy To Imprison Black Men

Body of Christ Radio Network

play

07/15/18 • 75 min

Is there a real conspiracy within the Criminal Legal Justice System to imprison black men? There is at least one account of the Dothan, Alabama police department bringing completely false charges against black men and sending them to jail. The blog PrivacySOS states; “Documents leaked to a justice organization by police whistleblowers in Alabama reveal a decades long conspiracy to plant guns and drugs on up to one thousand innocent Black men. The records also reveal a cover up that reached the highest levels of law enforcement in the state, including the local district attorney and a police officer who went on to become the state’s current head of homeland security. Some of the police officers involved in the corruption ring are apparently dedicated white supremacists.” One has to wonder, how deep is the conspiracy? The Alabama incident, by itself, is only one isolated conspiracy. If the conspiracy stops there then there is a breath of relief of sort. But does it stop there? There is talk about how the government projects future prison populations based on third grade test scores. Are certain schools failing to properly educate their students intentionally? That would explain a lot. There were a couple of incidents recently where black parents were jailed for using corporal discipline on their children. In one instance the children with their friends had stolen from their neighbor’s home. I the other the 12 year old child was simply disobedient to her Great-grandmother. When it seems the system is designed to make you fail what do you do? Please feel free to phone into the Virtual Living room with your comments or questions.
