Patrizia Moretti:
Why land him in such a violent and bloody manner?
He was alone.
There was no one there.
He was unarmed.
He was not a threat to anyone.
Why wait so long before notifying the family?
Of course. So we wouldn't have to see him...
If we had seen him like this what would have happened?
What resonance would it have had?
Andrea Magherini:
Something is clearly wrong with the system when law enforcement takes a military and repressive approach to every situation, especially when the person stopped has done nothing wrong and is simply seeking assistance.
When you're in the hands of government officials, your right to life is sacred, and you expect to be protected.
