Gina Yashere exemplifies what many see as a Black British talent drain to the US. Dane Baptiste made history in 2014 as the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He regularly appears on TV and radio and his podcast Dane Baptiste Questions Everything, was nominated for best podcast at the National Comedy Awards in 2021.
