Weight loss, pregnancy, urges, & bulimia with Stella Rivers
Binge Breakers - Bulimia Recovery
02/10/23 • 45 min
Stella was a whole vibe... :)
Stella Rivers, a certified coach from the Institute of the Psychology of Eating and a certified NLP practitioner plus a former bulimia struggler, joins me on the podcast today to discuss:
Our candid thoughts on weight loss, how it’s not wrong, but our firm belief that recovery must come first.
Her experience of pregnancy and dealing with her body changing.
Both our experiences of having urges post-recovery, why it’s normal, and how we both deal with them with much less drama and way more ease.
How we tend to have "unicorn syndrome" and how that keeps us in bulimia by binging on the bullshit.

Abundance with Binging
Binge Breakers - Bulimia Recovery
11/04/22 • 15 min
When you make it known to yourself and your brain that binging is, in fact, still allowed, it makes you more willing to try other self-regulating tactics first.
When you tell yourself it's either binge or pause, it feels much more pressuring and forceful which can push people into just binging.
I explain much more in this episode.
