Big Kid Problems06/30/20 • 57 min
There can be a slippery slope between wanting to get in shape and starting to obsess about it in an unhealthy way. (Ugh, guilty) Jenn Kahan joins the pod today and she is a Certified Personal Trainer specializing in the mental and emotional aspects of fitness. She is someone who has overcome an unhealthy cycle of food obsession, eating disorders, anxiety and exercise bulimia, and has lived to tell the tale. We’ll talk about recognizing if you have a problem, all the usual methods of coping with mental health issues - what worked, what didn’t. Then we’ll get into all the interpersonal work and mindfulness techniques she used and now teaches others to help them break free from bad food & fitness habits.
