Why did you start this show?

Beyond the Mic was created because the world is a rich tapestry and everyone has a story to tell. It is my job to help you share & capture it for the future. My job is to share the dash between your year born and passing because that's your legacy.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

Actors, authors, artists and people you need to know have a story beyond their main job. I want to share the story Your story is the only thing left once you are gone. Money, spent. Possessions, sold. People will move on as your memory fades from their busy lives. However, what about your story? Now that has the ability to carry you into the future for generations. How do you want dash remembered?

Find an actor, author, artist or someone you want to find out more about. Then let the rabbit hole begin...

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

Every time I find an episode I love, I record the next and find a new love. It's about sharing stories that gives me joy.

Which episode are you most proud of?

If a guest tells me "no one has ever asked that of me before"... That's one I'm most proud of.

What is your vision for your show?

Listening and sharing other people's stories.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

It was from a picture I took of a microphone in my bosses office during a sunrise. The glow of the sun shown off of the mic and what was beyond the mic excited me. I bought the mic from him and it's the one in the BTM logo.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I may spend my days in front of the mic, but at night, my focus is where it matters: on you. I'm Sean Dillon – a radio host by day and the life of my family by night. I'm passionate about a few things in life, such as music festivals, BBQ cookouts, and sports—especially basketball and football games. I am a highly dedicated and straightforward individual that never shies away from chasing opportunities and helping others.
