Donna is the first cousin to Elvis Presley was kind enough to join my show and talk Graceland, Elvis, and her life growing up.

What was it like Donna growing up at Graceland? Her one-word answer sums it up. The funny story of when she realized how big of a star Elvis was. Donna recalls the time Elvis proposed that she live with them at Graceland and what her mother, Nash said. Stores about opening fan mail when she worked for her Uncle Vernon.

Was Graceland just home or did she realize how special a place it was? The advice Elvis gave to Donna on a rare occasion when they had a one-on-one conversation which leads to Elvis meeting her fiancé and how that ended up. Lou tells about living in a garage growing up, smoking cigarettes while watching Scooby Doo AND by age 11 seeing someone stabbed along with women beaten by pimps. He then recalls the moment he knew he wanted to be a police officer along with what pushed him to serve in US Army.

If you have seen the movie, “Colors” featuring Robert Duvall and Sean Penn. Lou was like Penn’s character in real life with the Arizona State Gang Task Force. Being undercover forced him to grow up. Lou admits being addicted to the rush of this position. What is the difficulty of not allowing a criminal to dictate the pace of an investigation?

A graphic story of the extent drug dealers will go to hide drugs and get them to their destination. Complacency can not only get you hurt but killed, Lou retired medically after sustaining career ending injuries during an undercover assignment.

His PTSD went deep and dark, Lou explains all he went through, what he found to help get past it, and what he does today. Traumatic experiences that law enforcement face and their difficulty managing them.

A prolific celebrity photographer that has shot the likes of Paul McCartney, Studio 54, and the disco era joins the show!

Bill starts the show by explaining where his love of photography came from, the darkroom days, along with those that influenced him besides his father. How his career began in the 70’s at Village Voice, his first assignment that is an eye-opening moment, and the research he does prior to shooting anyone.

Studio 54: Was it really like everyone said it was and did you look forward to going there each time to get more pictures? 2001 Odyssey where the iconic Saturday Night Fever dance floor was. Bill tells what the clientele was there in addition to talking about the fascination of the disco era and if he enjoys that genre of music.

How did he become Paul McCartney’s personal photographer for 15 years, what it was like working with him in which he was given all-access to Paul everywhere! The secret to making A list celebrities look unguarded in his work and having the opportunity to speak in 2017 at the Library of Congress.

Bill has many books (see show notes) as we speak about Disco & The Last Dance. The difficulty of choosing which photographs to use and a story behind one of his portraits of three guys and one girl on a couch in Studio 54. Bill tells about his exhibits, his idea which is excellent for a possible future project. Keep your eyes open for this one!

The man who has over 80 tv and film credits to his name. Films such as Cop Land, The Cooler, & Summer of Sam. His tv career consists of Billions & The Sopranos.

We begin this fun filled podcast that is full of wonderful stories of Arthur growing up in East Harlem, his days working undercover for the NYPD. This leads to him telling his personal stories looking for the Son of Sam (David Berkowitz), which is fascinating.

Being in the movie, The Cooler that was filmed in Reno, NV and being on set with Alec Baldwin and how wonderful Maria Bello is as an actress. How he plays organized crime roles so role and being casted for....THE SOPRANOS!

Working with James Gandolfini, his generosity, what he did for Arthur and his salary. Filming the last episode of The Sopranos and the story of the cast watching it in a theater in Florida. He tells about being part of Godfather of Harlem with Forrest Whittaker.

This great show ends with Arthur telling a very good story that will make you laugh about being an extra for the movie: Bronx Tale!

His career spans over 4 decades. He is the man with a distinctive voice, actor who has appeared in over 100 feature films & tv shows along with numerous theater performances. He is best known as Buddy Garrity from the tv series Friday Night Lights. Owns Turnkey Productions III, A Lubbock, Texas native.

Brad discusses on the show:

Parents went to school with Buddy Holly, Miko his pet monkey in Japan, & appearing on stage at Disneyland at age 6.

Playing McMurphy in “Once Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” in theater and how that lead to roles in tv show- “Dallas” & the movie, “Silverado.”

Being part of the tv miniseries, “North & South” that includes a couple stories of off set and who he met that he ends up working with on another show.

Recorded from Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria in Las Vegas. He is the longest serving first time non-violent offender that was given a life sentence without parole. After serving 32 years and being the most appealed prisoner, he was released.

George explains what Gunman’s Row in Philadelphia where he grew up and as a two-year old seeing Benny the Gimp get shot in front of him. He was given the nickname of Cowboy, which he hates, and how that name started.

Great stories about his days dealing marijuana and how a diamond that was sewn into his pocket saved his life. His conversation with Pablo Escobar is a good one! Why Washington squeezed him after getting arrested is a great story in itself. George is the real-life man from the movie-Con Air and recalls the hijacking on the plane. He is a prolific writer that all began when he was locked in a boxcar cell for two weeks and found a pencil.

Being a workout buddy to a guy who had cut the head off three people! Does he wonder how he made it through it all and being the Growfather!

The Co-Author of the book: “Freddie Steinmark: Faith, Family, & Football along with Sammy Steinmark, who is the younger brother of Freddie joined the show to talk about this inspirational person.

We begin the show with learning how Bower met Freddie and Sammy, telling us what it was like growing up in the Steinmark household. Freddie was a multi-sport star at Wheat Ridge HS that was not recruited to any major colleges, but Coach Royal at U took a chance on him, but how did he find out about Freddie?

He was humble with a huge heart and his faith was very important to him. Hear stories that will paint the picture of Freddie as a person that shows his compassion and courage.

Sammy tells us what was happening at home and throughout his junior year when Freddie started having problems with his leg and the pain, he was in. This eventually led to his leg being amputated due to bone cancer. His outlook immediately afterwards and the process he went through to attend the Cotton Bowl vs. Notre Dame 20 days later. Hear about Freddie’s life the year and half after the Cotton Bowl.

Yes, I ask them what happened to Linda Wheeler who was Freddie’s girlfriend. Then tell you about the legacy Freddie has left behind at UT and WRHS. Is football or his amputation that have left a bigger impact? Freddie’s autobiography which leads to Bower having reservations to write the book and what happened to change it. Close with the lasting impression he has left behind.
