Growing up in a village with a population of three hundred and six, there were more books in the local library than people in town. A.M. Caplan used to concoct increasingly elaborate schemes to “borrow” the thriller titles she wasn’t allowed to read. Eventually she gave up her life of crime and went straight, putting all her ill-gotten knowledge to use, resulting in Echoes, Reverberation, and Dead Quiet, the page-turning Echoes Trilogy.
