This podcast is a passion project that combines a number of my interests - podcasts, animal behaviour and conservation. I am fascinated by ethology and behavioural ecology, and it was recently brought to my attention that understanding the behaviour of wildlife is an important part of ensuring their survival in our changing climate. This podcast aims to encourage a hopeful, active attitude towards wildlife conservation and provide some interesting biology tidbits. Hosted by Bethany Hope Gargett (she/her).

Welcome back to Be Hope Wildlife! Most people don’t stop and think about the conservation status of bats, in fact they hardly bat an eye (haha...), but did you know that bats can play incredibly important roles in ecosystems? In fact, some of them help plants and fruit grow! Including the ones we need as humans. That is just one tiny element of the bat benefits and fascinating facts explored in this interview with bat rehabilitator and ecologist Jess Dangerfield. So dive in and hear all about bat behaviour, care and conservation!
