Bare Books Bite-size for your listening pleasure!

We had our first live gig in April at Copper Cogs in Long Eaton in the Midlands. We had some totally amazing and fun interaction with the audience who wrote us some excellent flash fiction, inspired by photographs from two local photographers, Chris Davis and Tony fisher.

This bite-size episode brings you one of those stories - one of three favourites from the night:

Not Forgotten After All by Richard John Thornton.

We will be back tomorrow with the second of our favourites.

See you then xx

Download and listen. Let us entertain you in true Bare Book's style. Maybe you'll be tempted to write a flash fiction story of your own, 500 to 1000 words if you are feeling compelled to put pen to paper. We can't wait to read it.

You can find our flash fiction anthology on Amazon.

Join our ever-growing podcast family and get your creative juices flowing. We choose our favourite stories to be read out on the podcast... This season's first prompt was a set of photos: I saw scattered and trampled flowers on the beach on holiday last month, followed by a rock that looked like it had grown around a gold ring, all kinds of images of broken hearts came to mind... but what did you make of it? Listen to our favourite stories, written by Sandy Biddles and Carolyn Ward-Daniels. There is even one written by Daizi that April snuck in there at the end. We hope you love them as much as we did.

For your listening pleasure!

Flash Fiction, inspired by a charming black-and-white photograph of a small child with a stuffed elephant on wheels, stood reading the sign on a closed door that prohibits elephants. Thank you, as always, for sending in your stories. This episode brings you three stories narrated by Daizi Rae:

Moving Out by April Berry.

Rules Are Rules by Sandy Biddles.

And rounding off with The Last House in the Village by Jayne Love.

We will be back on 30th April with an indie author review of To My Grave by Ben Andrews.

See you then xx

This episode sees us review the highly amusing Daniel and Eriks Super Fab Ultimate Wedding Checklist written by K. E. Belladonne.

This story follows our two main characters, Daniel and Erik, from their first meeting, through dating and falling in love. They love each other so much they decide to get married. This story joins the two of them, and their weirdly unhelpful wedding app, on the road to certain doom...

The rest you will need to find out yourself when you read the book.
