Answering your most requested sexual questions, with Sexologist Chantelle Otten
Baby Baking & Kid Raising
05/12/24 • 52 min
On today’s episode, we have a very exciting guest, and an interview unlike others we have done. I am so excited to be chatting with the incredible Chantelle Otten. Chantelle is a Melbourne-based, world-renowned sexologist and relationship therapist. With a background in scientific research, sexual medicine, and counselling, Chantelle believes that sexuality and self-esteem are an integral part of life, which everyone is entitled to.
For this episode, I put the question to my audience on Bumpnbub, and asked them what they wanted to know from a sexologist.
We cover topics such as:
- How do you move from seeing yourself as ‘just a mum’ who has given birth, bled, leaked, rocked etc. to a sexual being again?
- We have been trying to conceive for seven months; sex isn’t fun. It feels like simply an avenue to try and get a baby - and it’s getting more tiresome.
- Is sex really that important? Feels like something else on the to-do list.
- Postpartum and ZERO sex drive - help.

Overcoming isolation in parenting: How to build your village
Baby Baking & Kid Raising
09/22/24 • 39 min
In today's episode we are sitting down with two incredible women, Ariel and Keshia, both mums of three children and business owners of the newly launched From Day One. On this podcast, and recently in broader society, we are talking a lot more about the village that women need and deserve, that they often don’t have. Women have never been more isolated in their parenting journey and you have both set out to change this - a very ambitious and incredible goal.
From Day One facilitates Mother's Groups, Play Dates, events, access to support via specialists and a drop in space for mums to use as a home away from home during the first 12 months post-birth.
Here are some of the questions we asked them:
- How did the idea of From Day one come about?
- How did you start going about changing the landscape of something so huge but also so impactful?
- What are the main themes you find in facilitating From Day One?
- How do you start with building out a place to fulfil the needs of mums, whilst also trying to make it a sustainable and profitable business?
You can learn more about From Day One here.
